I don’t mind , Doug goes first and them 2 can take their turn Plus the pint and monster bouncy castle , it’s got a great night written all over it followed by the footballWhat do folks think. Dovin or Wilson?
Allen didn’t play well Saturday. But he was asked to play a role that he isn’t suited too, he’s a 8/10 mold - basically run about doing doggies type midfielder - NOT someone to take ball and start patterns off/dictate play etc.
Palmer is just a luxury I’m afraid. The bad outweighs the good. We can’t afford luxuries.
And this is the frustration with Palmer. He's clearly so talented, but still insists on playing the no-look, two step over, simple five yard pass to the opposition!I don't get some of the Palmer reviews. He is not our all round most talented player but he can play passes others can't. Last season he played very well a number of times (see quarter final vs Wolves as one example), he was guilty in other games of giving the ball away too cheaply. However, this is a new season and so far he has assisted our only goal and I think it would be fairest to judge him and his contribution from here going forward as I get the sense he is a player who has the potential to still improve.
You’d think with experience he’d make better decisions but doesn’tAnd this is the frustration with Palmer. He's clearly so talented, but still insists on playing the no-look, two step over, simple five yard pass to the opposition!
That's an excellent point.Almost everyone, neutrals, pundits, bookies etc.. will expect us to beat Oxford at home. We should be winning and we have to deal with the pressure of expectation.

And yet he provided the 1 defence splitting pass that decided the match on Tuesday. You’d think with experience he’d make better decisions but doesn’t
So so frustrating
you can still pay on the night though. Unless they've saved loads back for walk ups there's not a whole lot left for POTG and they're not all in one area which is probably why they aren't having cash turnstilesNo pay on the gate tomorrow
Tickets will be available to buy from 9:30am to half-time (8:45pm) in the Matchday Ticket Office in the South-East corner. This is cashless, with card and contactless payment available.
If you want to get yourself up for tomorrow, have a look at this from an Oxford fan ! (will sing WLADITT with a bit more gusto at kick off).
**k em mate. f**k Coventry. All they're famous for is getting bombed in World War II.
I thought we would take more if I'm honest, as it looks like somewhere between 1,500/2,000 will be going. Saturday 3pm and not on Sky, and we'd have sold out. I think it is a pretty unattractive game for our first game back up, but that shouldn't really matter. I reckon we'll see that tomorrow's Oxford crowd will be many from a certain age, like you and me, who've waited a long time for this and are determined not to miss a minute of this season. I think a lot of the younger generation, who've only been going a few years, might not realise just how significant this game is?
What I do know is that when God handed out birthrights I'm f*****g glad mine said Oxfordshire on it and not Coventry. We'll be there, and we'll be proud, and if any Coventry t**t wants to try and take the P**s, bring it on. Lady Godiva can f**k off too.
They may have 20,000 more fans there than us, but at 10pm we'll have six more points than them, and be top of the league!

Hes late 20s now - in his prime. No one is doubting the ability, thats premier league level. But it's the consisant application of that and thats why he's only playing at this level.I don't get some of the Palmer reviews. Would expect Eccles > Allen / Perhaps Wright > EMC / then unsure which way he will go with centre half and Left Back.3 changes from last Saturday
Dovin in our 1. He did press today also. NO question he starts.I swear to god if he starts Wilson
Going to keep asking saddle, same shape or can I dare to dream3 changes from last Saturday

They had 9836 fans at home to Norwich, they really aren’t a big club. c.1500 on a Friday night, £30 for the adult, “1 hour (+12mins) up the road” really isn’t bad. It’s not poor at all. They’re not gonna be taking 3000 almost anywhere.
If true then I'll guess at Eccles in for Torp, Wright for EMC and I'll take a punt on BTA for Saka.3 changes from last Saturday
Would think Wright will definitely be one (in place of EMC?), Kitching may well start - that leaves perhaps Eccles as a starter in place of either Allen or Torp?Through choice or injuries ?
