I’m not sure I do still have time. I live in Texas hence I’ll be watching on paramount.

Still jet lagged from the trip back for the Norwich game 🤓
All credit to Oxford, they worked really hard and never gave in, even when they were pinned back for long periods.

I'm sure they must be gutted loosing so late in the game, but if they continue to play like that they will surprise a lot of teams and survive comfortably.

Good luck for the rest of the season.

Torp’s man was the guy off the pitch - unless he’s Superman he’s not getting anywhere near the scorer, and the first goal was a result of a free kick that wasn’t, and an unfortunate bounce off a centre forward’s (Simms) shin

why would a mobile CAM help defensively? don’t we need a more defensive / box to box midfielder? and how would an experienced head have helped when you’ve just bemoaned lack of pace and yet Fadz had the turning circle of an HGV last season?

I agree a couple of experienced heads is no bad thing, but other than that you’re talking nonsense my friend
Torp has no pace , it was the second goal I was talking about but surely that's obvious ?

So glad for the win. Would have ruined the weekend if we drew and only had 1 point to show after 2 games. Poetic justice that the winning goal came via a gift from Oxford.

Right decision with so many people getting away
If they are going to shut the road left out of CP C, they should at least have the common sense to have 2 lanes open to turn right. Cones at car park exit down to one lane is ridiculous. No common sense there in the planning at all causing unnecessary problems at CP that already difficult to exit.

Great attacking performance tonight. Was great to see Wright back, you can see how much we miss him. But we need an experienced centre back desperately to sort out that defence. If I’m Doug forget the CM and get Joe Worrel or Liam Cooper

yes, and it’s a fair point Torp isn’t the quickest, but you didn’t answer my questions, and if you look at the screenshot there’s Lats, Binks and Bidwell between the ball and Torp, who was tracking Brannagan on the edge of the box

under normal circumstances the full back picks up the run and cross and crisis averted, so I’m not sure why you think we need a mobile CAM as a direct result of the goal?

The fact remains that when you take stock of the match overall and look back at some of the comments it’s ridiculous.

People shouldn’t comment during a live game when things are actually happening. Not at the game, not on here. Radio silence until full time.

Wright looked fucked long before he won the game and yet nobody could’ve argued if he was hooked before that. Rudoni was blowing by the last 15, as was Eccles, and MvE. And it would’ve been a very poor result if it stayed 2-2. Just some of the in-play comments that the hindsight brigade are masturbating over, that were actually correct at the time.

Thing is, we cant be relying on 96th minute gifts from Oxford if we want be a Premier League team come May.

We absolutely bossed the game and should be ruthless in putting it to bed early.

We've come so far the last 8 years that we aren't `plucky Cov' anymore - we've spent big money on big players and DK wants a return
Attacking wise it was much, much better. The defending however would have been torn to pieces by stronger opposition. The Oxford poster’s ‘mullet’ comparison is apt

Because Torp was way too slow and should have been the first to cover that move. He was badly outpaced from a level start and tge defensive cover would have expected him to block off that attack. I am a Torp fan but beginning to wonder whether he suits our style of play.
