In an interview with CWR today, Frank Lampard was asked if there will be a change of goalkeeper against Plymouth, he wouldn't confirm one way or the other.

If Collins was playing against Plymouth wouldn't he just say so.
No.

He did say “No” but the question was “Are you considering a change or will Collins keep his place”?

honestly, i think he'll start collins (unknown reasons) and we'll lose, and plymouth will eventually overtake us in the league. im a bit down in the dumps about cov atm, struggling to find any real glimmer of hope.

Just listened to Lampard's press interview. Again what a mess. A word salad from a guy who has nothing to say.

Has to be changes.

if either of Collins or dasilva play I will lose a bit of faith in Lampard. Either of them there is a chance we could lose, if they both do I think it becomes a distinct possibility, especially if Binks if also in the side.

Up to now I've not really thought of relegation but if we lose to these at home then we have to wake up to just how much in danger we are.

Just listened to Lampard's press interview. Again what a mess. A word salad from a guy who has nothing to say. The interviewer was leading him along and he fell into it each time. He never once made reference to what they are doing to rectify the last performance, as if he were just filling in the blanks. He may be a nice bloke and a legend to many of us but he does not sound like someone who knows what to do. He just doesn't seem to be in command of anything. You don't just nod and agree with the interviewer on every point? I take no pleasure in having a go at him, but I'm not getting filled with optimism atm.
"He fell into it?"

Completely the opposite in the one I heard where he asked questions he clearly wasn't going to be drawn into. "Are we going to see a change in goalkeeper". Nobody answers that.

People need to get over that robins has gone.

We won’t lose. We won’t go down. We’ll be very comfortably mid table. Don’t panic
There should be three worse sides than us and we should have enough quality to keep relegation at bay when Wright comes back

HOWEVER

This is the attitude we cannot by any means afford to adopt - Brum fans had the same cocky 'I'm alright jack' attitude towards relegation last season and they only started to see it as a threat before it was too late

This side have shown absolutely no sign of putting a run of form together and that they seem to buckle under any sort of pressure at the first signs of adversity, quite frankly their attitude reeks and it is not out the question that we get sucked into a relegation scrap, no one is too big to go down

I am usually one of the most positive people on here and earlier in the season I was sticking up for these players when others were not but I have seen some things I really do not like in recent weeks, this is a squad with a terrible mentality and is too easy to play against

1st team I've seen that i fully agree with.
Based on Saturday, Collins, Binks, Dasilva and Sheaf should all be on the bench and I'd even go as far to say maybe Saka too

Who would you replace Saka with?
He was awful Saturday so I wouldn't be adverse to him dropping to the bench either.

They have only scored 3 away goals and only drew 2 losing 9,so we know we are going to get battered by them.If we lose this they can all fuck off.Collins and Dasilva need to fuck off before the game even starts.Kitchen back in for some nasty stuff and 2 up top for me or Super Frank knows fuck all about his squad.

The facts don’t bear this out though. The Pompey capitulation was awful. But we haven’t buckled under pressure or adversity. We’ve taken a lot of points from positions where we are behind. It’s a far more basic problem for us - we’re just shit defensively.

Yeh a problem position that doesn't get as much mention as the others but i really wish we'd have gone for a right sided forward rather than say BTA who can play there but not well.
I still think Wright could play there as i've often said but too soon for him.

At least Whittaker is injured, if you had a player like that targeting the left side of our defence i think that would cause real trouble regardless of whether the rest of their team is hopeless.

On the right wing, seem people say BTA, why not play Rudoni. Strong on the cross and since he’d be asked to cut inside, his left foot would be a positive compared to BTA.

Since it forms a 3-2-5, would look like this in game? And when torp gets knacked take him off and move Rudoni into the CAM, for tats?

Think Saturday was about a lot more than just being bad defensively. We looked disinterested and half hearted.

As you say, we have shown the character to fight back on many occasions this season so not sure what happened at Portsmouth?

Has to be a reaction Boxing day.

Can't see us going to a back 3 again anytime in the near future.

Think I read somewhere on here (so must be true) that Lampard stuck with the 4-3-3 at Everton even when they were on a losing run?

BTA, might not be as skillful as Saka but he's not lightweight and he's quite rapid
Him Simms and EMC up front

Think I'd give Thomas-Asante a run out as well instead of Sakamoto. Still think he can contribute to the team this season

This isn’t a back three, just more the rotations we play with in the 4-2-3-1 with Milan coming up and Bidwell staying further back to cover

Simms in goal and and MVE as left back makes more sense than Collins and Dasilva.

He played 3 at the back quite a bit at Everton
