They are good results. All I’m saying is up until a few weeks ago they are results we’d expect, if not a little disappointing. Both are sides we have an excellent record against, like Boro. I’ve seen a lot of “top 2!!!” But they’re just the same stripes red cunts we’ve been beating for years. And I do think under a proper manager we’d have won yesterday. I thought we handled the red terribly TBH.

What I’m seeing now is base performance we’ve had up until this season.

Take everything else out and draws against these two is par for the course really. Burnley id have expected is to lose.

We were turning a corner TBF. I know you don’t want to believe that. I think the last two were both there for the win if we hadn’t gifted them a head start or could put the pressure on better. We’ve had a bad start and it’s made people think we’re a bad side but listen to other managers and we aren’t seen as a bottom three side like the fans see us.
I think you’re the only one who sees us as a bottom 3 side. The quality we have is clear to everyone else.

We played quite well yesterday.

When they went down to 10 they sat in an didn't allow any space in behind them. That is why a lot of the play was in front of them as there was just no way of getting in behind them.

Not sure 2 up top earlier would of helped much as their CBs were big pricks who like a battle against a forward but look less confident with they need to defend away from the defensive line.

O'Hare while you can't fault his application lacked and real offensive output. He's a good lad but he's not as good as some make him out be. Rudoni for example offers far less off the ball in the pressing game but he has more ability on the ball. Torp when played further forward also can pick passes and hit shots O'Hare cant.

Well in all honesty 1 in the box did nothing as he is 5ft 8 and we persisted with playing triangles outside the box before crossing to nobody anyway .

Simms should have been on much sooner as he adds the height .. we needed to get the ball in the box much much sooner too

Seeing as our 2 goals came from crosses, surprised we weren’t trying to get it in the box quicker, simms on at half time would have been better, just seemed we stuck to the same plan for too long, we had the advantage and never took it, 2 points dropped

Im not sure we did TBH. We got carved open basically at the first two attempts, I think with 11 they’d have been happy to keep doing that. Once they went down to ten we had no idea what to do really.

Man this is beyond embarrassing.

Going into the game they would be top without a points deduction. Their defensive record is one of the best in the keahyr

We took the game to them from the off and didn’t crumble when we went behind.

Randomly the guy who gifted them two goals you’ve described as excellent and won’t even acknowledge the clear weaknesses

Most games at home this season have been dull. I can’t even remember much about a lot of them.

This was a great game to watch. Entertaining and exciting.

Those thick bastards singing “We’re Sheff United, we’re top of the league” after their 2-2 win yesterday to end the weekend in third is fucking brilliant

Hopefully they drop further and further

Agree with this. Watched it back and it was a pen, not a dive. Missed the assault on MVE with the elbow and should have been another sending off. Was ambivalent about Wider but now think he is a total nob.
Wilder certainly is a knob, he was furious after the match and didn’t have the decency to “slap” hands in a civilised fashion. Coaching stuff lucky not have broken metacarpals. Then bitched in the post match.

The type of utter twat Sheffield United deserve.

Tbf it never helps that he is in and out of the side. We started to see the best of him the middle of last season when he was playing week in week out. He seems like the type of player who needs to play himself into form.
He needs balls to run onto or put it on his head in the box. Our delivery to the strikers has not been great this season.

The strikers are harmed the most by our ponderous build up play TBH. It’s a credit to Wright he’s scored what he has.
Completely agree. Doing some reading into Frank, hoping we can play with a higher tempo and start forcing the issue.

We’re just very predictable in how we want to attack down the wings with the overlap. Whoever gets the role, want to see more attacking runs from the midfield and be a bit braver with our passes.

How we played yesterday is pretty close to how we were playing under Robins. Think Robins would‘ve started BTA for Bassette yesterday, but other than that I think it’s similar. We were playing OKish under Robins, but with the same problems we had yesterday.

The most ridiculous thing about this season is that we haven’t managed a single ‘routine’ win. The frustrating thing about Derby was that it was a perfect candidate for just that kind of win. Sheff Utd have been churning out those kind of unfussy 1-0/2-0 wins all season.
Apart from Blackburn and a bit of luck at Middlesborough, yes you are right.

Yeah but robins would have had us winning 15-0.

1st half yes .. 2nd half we had 2 shots on target against 10 men and competed 6 crosses

It was far from exciting

Well let's just say it as it was , a largely frustrating 2nd half and would have been called out as such by most should it have been robins .. infact I image a poll would have been conducted as we failed to beat 10 men at home
It was almost an identical dynamic to the Luton game just without the winning goal.
