No idea how Lampard is going to approach this. Full, first team squad, or let a few players on the periphery, play.

Love a good cup run, but the league is so much more important and I would have felt a lot better if we were further clear of the drop zone.

I figure he'll use it to see more of a few players that haven't had so much game time recently.
So Rapha & Tavares (if he's staying, unlikely), Kitching (more game time), Simms, Torp, Dovin to continue, DaSilva, BTA & Allen.

wednesday doing well this season and challenging for top six. Big following for this game and poor take up so far from us.
city low on confidence after Saturday and fans starting to lose patients with some players not to mention the injuries we have to key players.
If Wednesday field their first 11 can see a 2-0 loss and a toxic home crowd

I see this as a game for a number of the fringe players to stake their claim for more game time, as opposed to playing a full strength side.

My selection would be as below.

Wilson (if fit)
MVE
Kitching
Binks
Da Silva
Allen
Eccles
Torp
Raphael
Tavares
Simms

Expect us to go out of the cup.

I think DK will want a cup run to try and give something for fans to get excited about to try and ensure ST sales dont plummet next year

Midfield without Sheaf again will be interesting, assume Eccles ( who is apparently the same style) will take up his role.

Bidwell captain?

Latibautiere is usually Sheaf's deputy.

No Wright, no EMC and no Sheaf, a less than full house and a freezing Saturday evening against uninspiring opposition, I guess that's what you call the magic of the cup.

Wednesday are having a decent season (by their standards) and are only 3 points off the playoffs, so I'm expecting them to rest a few players, and will probably be concentrating on the league.

With all that in mind I'm expecting a shit game with neither side wanting to win it.
I'm not going to predict a score, as I doubt many people even give a fuck..... let's be honest, who cares?

Will be going but can understand the sparse crowd given the weather etc. 15,000 at best and a 2-0 defeat for good measure.

Pics of inside the CBS on this thread.

It seems to be getting better where I am. 2 1/2 miles away.
