Im not talking about asthma I'm talking about footballing know how

He is nothing like Palmer anyway - he’s a totally different player - he’s a right winger for a start

Lats and Josh not looking out of place at all as our midfield duo.

Bidwell solid as always but technically on the ball not convincing.

Would like to see more of O'Hare.

Thomas impressive.

Saka brilliant, Wright has real pace that we need to use more, MVE brilliant signing.

Need a powerful and pacy number 9 to add more problems.

Crowd brilliant - last season Birmingham game vibes early on.

Loads of time for Godden still, massively useful in a squad and would back him over anyone to finish in the box.. but Simms offers way more to general play. He stretches teams and bringing our quality supply players into the game. Shame he didn't play today as I feel he'll grow in to the season as he gains confidence, goals will come.

Godden has been absolutely anonymous and barely touched the ball, which when we've had close to 70% possession up until the last 4 minutes of the half is very poor. Not sure it's entirely his fault though - it's all been very comfortable but thought our possession football was too safe and pretty pedestrian. Just not moving the ball quickly enough to to get the best out of Godden, Wright especially guilty of eating up the seconds before moving the ball on.
We look like, after the last few games, that we're not sure what to do when we have possession and not counter attacking. Aside from the van Ewijk/Saka pairing down the right, the passing is too slow and the movement almost non existent. Even Saka, who wows with his skills, needs to get the ball in the box quicker sometimes. The twisting and turning is all good but Wednesday are just back in position and waiting by the time he crosses it.

Probably all moot points now anyway, Wednesday have to go for it and the space will open up much more this half.

Godden was offside then surely - this linesman is hopeless

We're letting them into this, take Godden off as he's just too slow against a team that has pushed up the pitch

In our own half, Haji is poor. Same at Sunderland. Need him where Godden is.
