It wasn’t a bit better, it was on par with Swansea, if anything worse as we got carved open so easily and so often for longer periods. This team can’t carry a good performance over even in the same week never mind from one to the next.

The fixtures following the break are hugely important in determining what type of season we’re in for as those in November are grim.
We get carved open every week tbh, I think you could throw a hat over the games I talked about in terms of performance. They were all pretty rotten.

I think today was marginally less bad, probably because of some of the last ditch defending (which beats absolutely no defending!).

It’s going to be a difficult appointment whenever it happens. Can only judge if/when it happens and then waiting to give them time.
I do think someone else could do a better job than MR, but how much more? This isn’t just down to the manager. You’ve got players here who are letting down their teammates to the point of arguments breaking out during games, and coaches who are incapable of getting things across in training.

That leads to today’s showing where an average but well coached team has run rings around us yet again. If money were no object I’d sack off all the coaches and have MR hand pick all the back room staff.

To be fair it was in reflection going to be hard for the new coaches since all the stability coaching wise went this year.

Bringing in new ones and sacking the ones we brought in might have no impact sadly since it would take time to get a rhythm to it and for the coaches to buy into the tactics and know how to approach training and ensure right message is being sent.

I don’t think the coaches survive past robins but right now not sure if I’d be happy to throw more money at this without a fresh perspective from the top but get your pov.

They won't cost too much to replace I don't think,in fact I've said as much before!

Completely depends on what there on since we would have to keep paying the wages of them ( assuming you want all four gone) and then hiring an experienced AM and Coach. How long are the coach deals as that’s a lot of wages for coaches we wouldn’t even be using.

people saying adi was the key to any success we had are delusional, we were shit the end of last season, prob way back to march. Adi and Lawrence leave, and people are using that as an easy out for why were not performing.

we had a cup run, plays ours socks off in that semi final (MR also made alot of subs, imagine that in a league game!?) but the league was 9th, and we were dog shit at the end.

this season has been shit so far, but, its still early days, once we find a formation, and the right players in the right positions, it should work.

(i dont know what bassette has done to not get a play off the bench, and we also have Rodrigues hiding somewhere in the lodge.)

You can’t make excuses for that performance today he was dire

All of our forward players have looked poor this season. So one of the following has to be true. 1) all of our forwards are duds or 2) tactically, we’re not getting the best out of these players. Bearing in mind that Haji Wright, BTA and Simms scored a combined total of 46 goals last season, it suggests to me the 2nd statement rings most true. If one looks bad, fair enough. If they all look bad, that’s a reflection on the team.

Dennis left in march, you could argue that point, but we had 1 win in the last 8 games of last season. Adi surely had nothing to do with that.

id argue that Adi also had his hand in the transfers for this season, cant blame MR for everything.

im just so sad, its all so disappointing.

It's true. We were even worse this time last year.

I agree that Dennis and Adi leaving isn't the route cause of our issues, but I think it is compounding to them a little.

Since Dennis left it was quite clear our defensive shape was poorer, and we started leaking goals.

Adi was a players favourite (some aside if rumours are to be believed) and was the man on the sidelines barking orders and making sure everyone is doing what they should've been. The new coaches we have are dead silent staring at iPads with earpieces in looking all professional with fuck all to show for it.

I might get shit for this, but I think Dennis leaving was the big miss. We looked as defensively solid as I can remember when he was defense coach and ever since he's left we've let in some of the shittest softest goals I can remember since that god awful Russel Slade season.

Anyone blaming Wilson for the winner can't be taken seriously. If it was Dovin in nets you wouldn't even think about challenging it.

Again it was our piss poor captain Sheaf who rolled over and let them have possession. Utterly pathetic.

It’s not a shape issue. We don’t have the players either in terms of quality or mentality.
Disagree. The on field problems are all about shape.
Acres of space behind two wide men, no compactness when we're out of possession, we're so easy to play through.
For me that suggests that the off field issues are all about coaching and planning.

Get sheaf back to full fitness and a settled starting 11 and we should stay up this season then major re build in the summer

that’s all well and good to have ANOTHER rebuild then they can use “need time to gel” excuses.

we are just going to stagnate and make the numbers up in the championship from now on here

I don’t blame Wilson for either goal. I do blame him for passing the ball to the opposition in his own half countless times. Somehow he got away with it every time.

Agreed players have decreased in value since the summer simms and wright and sheaf worth a lot less now and the likes of kitching and emc we are getting nowhere near what we paid for them. It's back to shopping in the free market ironically probably where Robins is better at finding gems as opposed to having millions to spend but will he be given time to do another re build

The old scouting team were responsible for finding them…they’re no longer at the club.

If we enter the relegation zone it's a game changer, our fans will absolutely lose it and the pressure on Robins and Doug will be enormous.

God, yesterday was fucking horrible in every possible way. Going to the CBS is a miserable experience beginning to end and everything on and off the pitch is exacerbating that.

Apart from Rudoni who I thought was excellent beginning to end and JDS who showed some application when he came on everyone on the pitch was mediocre. They simply are not playing like a team who wants to win; no passion, no fight, no resistance. Bidwell got scythed and Eccles was the only player checking on him, talking to the referee and communicating with the bench. Sheaf, our captain, just stood there uselessly with his hands on his hips. Compare and contrast their reaction to BTA getting into a scuffle with one of their players!

I think I'm done with Kitching. I'd be able to forgive the slip-ups if it wasn't for his habit of focusing on throwing tantrums instead of the task at hand. His immediate instinct to giving the ball away leading to the equaliser was to start moaning at Thomas, and he put more effort into claiming offside than stopping the attack for the winner.

Why do our players always look so knackered? What could possibly be the excuse when SW played more recently than we did and looked well up for it?

It just feels like everything has gone horribly wrong, so many mistakes have been made and it's going to be a long and miserable season unless big changes are made. I feel worse now than I did during the start of last season.
