I think the conversation has to also be had at the thought process of not offering the wages to our best players .

If we offered O hare and hamer the money at the time , then surely that's better value over 5 years than for example 5 million on a player and 4 years worth of his wages ontop ?

We are making BAD business decisions really , we should have offered Cal the money , we should have offered hamer the money and we need to recruit better too
Bang on. The coaching staff appointments look terrible too .

Frustrated with that, but for me, it's the forwards that are failing. EMC and Haji created little out wide, and our main threat was from MVE ( second half) Ironically we played better second half, where we didn't deserve to lose - ref should have sent bloke off for the tackle on Bidders. All ifs and buts until the front line is addressed.

EMC ….£4 million….fuck off !
Bring Simms on and we went down to 10 men. His head is not in it. Such a mentally weak player.
Why so lacklustre from the start, all these cunts have got to do is play football for 180 minutes a week!

Possession is the last refuge of the damned. They should have gone in 2 or 3 ahead, we gifted so many chances that weren’t converted.

Second half even worse. Did you really watch the same game?

I’ll give the first half, actually. We weathered an early storm, Wilson makes a good point blank save and out goal was a piece of fantastic skill but a low probability chance. Then we through that advantage away with suicidal defending.

Sscond half, I recall their chances being limited to a tasty cross between the 6 yard box and penalty box that someone should be meeting… and of course the goal. On our end, we had ‘threat’ but no clear cut chances. They had 4 shots to our 8 in the second half.

At 1-0 up going into the 2nd half, we probably don’t lose the game so that’s why it’s all the more frustrating to throw away a lead we didn’t deserve to have.

Middle ground, my recall of the 1st half clouded by going 1-0 up and 2nd half has probably clouded your recall because we conceded in the last minute.

Robins post match:

Shot ourself in foot
Concede in both injury times.
Didn't start with tempo we needed
Let Sheffield wed off hook
Poor decisions for goals conceded
Game management not good enough
Last half hour we had some energy.
Lost cos of decision making
Ben sheaf not ready to receive ball when conceded seconds
So disappointed
We are giving too many games away
Is winning 2 in a row too much for this squad?
Sheff wed athletic team
We are a good team but we don't show it regularly
We have to start building momentum or seasons over
This wasn't down to lack of energy
Played backwards too often
Pedestrian out there
Don't put teams to sword
Don't think was lack of effort just lack of thought
Players till choosing easy options
Disappointed as I've ever been
Good teams won't let u have the ball I have to work for it. Stop taking easy options
Too much long ball for his liking
5-6 players away now. Maybe 13 players left to work with over break
Bidwell ligament injury. Prob out for 3-4 weeks
Two poor Saturdays
If we keep making poor decisions we will not build any momentum
Players need to stick to principles . In training they know how to play tactic . Stop taking easy options
Just poor
Simple reason why they can pull off the tactic in training, they’re doing it against the wank players we have

For me it’s either you blame robins AND the coaches or none of them. I don’t understand how you can just say it’s the coaches fault.

I would be writing the same things regardless of the late goal happening or not. It was very, very bad.

Listening to Robins makes you fully understand why we are a soft team.

Generally quite aligned with your views, but disagree re being bullied. Post BTA incident we competed more, but before that we looked weak.

Whatever the combination the defence looks vulnerable.
Going into this season, I didn’t think we could be top 4 without 2-3 signings in defence and midfield.

There needs to be some home truths, we just don’t create enough chances to take advantage of the attacking talent we have and to make things worse, the defence isn’t good enough for us to play counter attacking football.

it does tend to implode and melt down a lot, but a lot of what you’ve just said tells me you didn’t watch the game today, and haven’t seen much this season?

we are currently a poor team with no aggression, no passion, no clue, and today wasn’t a great second half - we weren’t edged out, Wednesday deserved to win that.

BTA agreed, but Eccles was not our best performer today - misplaced short passes, poor tackling, and probably should’ve done something for the second goal but bottled it

you need to accept we look like we are in trouble this season unless something changes, and fast
You are, in fact, wrong on a lot of counts but I’m not a big fan of parading ridiculous attendance qualifications. It’s about expectation. The way I saw this season : First of all we’re in a complete mess of a league. I thought we’d be a lot better going forward than we’ve been but we’ve conceded silly and poor goals on a regular basis for over a season. Which means we’ll lose games. We’ll be nowhere near relegation but if we want to be top half we’ve got to stop conceding so easily.

Ok so I actually thought Wednesday were quite good , and it's easy to see how they can get results , recently beating West brom and now us .

They were very big and good on the ball too , he's done a good job there hasn't he danny rohl.

we didn’t - 2nd half we were worse other than about a 10/15 mins spell

and the forwards aren’t producing because they aren’t getting much from the midfield and defence, balls pumped up to them isn’t going to help

Sucks that an offside goal could be the end of Robins, but performances and results have been nowhere near good enough.

Mark Robins is forever a Coventry City legend though and deserves a statue one day.
Just pay him off then to the owner!!
