Coventry City U21s v Birmingham City tonight (5 Viewers)

Surely scoring a bag full of goals is better for his CV than anything else he could be doing tonight?
U21 won't do him any favours unless of course he gets some Championship games off the back of it and starts building.

Quite a strange take.
He didn't just 'walk into the side'. He was chosen by Robins as a first team striker for a few games, got some plaudits, now isn't getting any minutes even as a sub and is now put in the U21's.
Just all looks a bit odd by Robins.
He played vs Spurs because he hadn’t had any minutes yet, it was in the cup, and his pace was always going to be useful against their high line. Did well.

Then he started vs Swansea and did nothing.

It’s not odd at all, he got a chance, did alright, then failed to follow it up.

Think it seems he’s ruffled a few feathers. Seems a confident lad but obviously a mouthy gobshite aswell maybe?!
The way we've performed so far this season, I think a few fuckers need their feathers ruffling. I liked his passion and the way he demands decent service from his team mates, absolutely nothing wrong with demanding quality from those around him.

Based on that most of our first team should have played tonight

Yeah think the talk at the time was he was gonna be the next to break through

Where's Kai Yearn last few games presumably injured?

Assuming you mean Andrews, he played (and scored) for Wales U19 in Italy over the weekend so presumably not injured.

Sorry, no, literally the player Kai Yearn we signed from Cambridge. One of their hot prospects who walked out to find a new club, joined with Sandiford who scored two from RB last night.

He's an AM

I though we would have had to pay compensation if he rejected a contract there as a player under 24?

I seem to remember Bassala Sambou bagging shed loads in the u21s and he was tipped to be a star. I've no idea how good of a barometer those games are

Need to temper excitement on NB - credit he scored 4, however standard of football and opposition is miles away form championship level.

Not sure chucking him into a struggling team and just expecting magic is right way to handle him.

He hardly played for our U21s, he left at 18 to join Everton and was frozen out for the second part of the year when he wanted to leave

We possibly had to yeah, their fans were pretty upset he wasn't being retained, the commentary at the time was that they'd not offered him a deal but it came out later on it was hinted he rejected one.

They don’t have an U21 setup so likely they released him if he wasn’t going to be involved with the first team.

Apologies, that one passed me by! Assumed Yearn was an autocorrect from Andrews..

It would be wise to remember the club we signed him from (Ligue 2) loaned him out last year
