I know It hasn’t really been discussed but can you imagine the reactions if we blow it?

Flat and Pancake won’t even come close.

will be exactly the same if we blow it in the play offs
At the moment 5 teams are chasing one promotion spot - not great odds

Don’t normally do predictions but on this occasion confident we will win. Just hope we meet Lincoln at Wembley and stuff them out of sight after their appalling unsporting performance here.

Cov 11/10 draw 5/4 and Morecombe 5/1 on skybet.
Do they know something we don't?

Hoping Robins reminds the players about what he said after the away defeat up there against Morecambe.

He should pin the words up on the dressing room door.

'It was horrendous and embarrassing.'

'It was absolutely men against boys.'

'It was poor, as poor as we've been, with no real know-how or fight.'

'It was frankly embarrassing.'

Morecambe being winless in their last 9 games is what worries me.
Any other team would be expected to beat an out of form side, but CCFC always seem to slip up in such circumstances.
I hope Saturday is different.
I'll predict a draw, but a defeat would not surprise me.

Thing is though, we could lose and still make it. I am not at all convinced that Mansfield will win, or that Lincoln will avoid defeat.

I have said all along Mansfield will not complete 4 wins n a row...they will now. Lincoln will easily beat Yeovil, but I also feel confident we will get the job done against Morecambe. The fact they only need s draw will help, IF they try to go at us, we will win so there best option, is to hold on for a draw. That suits us - we can do this.

Time will tell, smiley, but I can really see at least one out of Mansfield and Lincoln slipping up.

Yes, last day of the season you can throw the form book and all logical outcomes out of the window. That goes for us as well, but that makes me think we will win as normally a game like this has massive banana skin written all over it.

Is anyone else beginning to fear that we will bottle this? At the beginning of the week my money went on 3-1 city thought we would see these lot off fairly easily, but as tomorrow gets nearer the nerves are kicking in! Saying that I felt the same the day before cheltenham and look how that ended..

would you rather we were playing a team who'd won their last 9?

As it gets closer the nerves are only going one way.

Ideal scenario: we win comfortably and have to play Lincoln in the semis, as I’d hope MR can find a way to counter their predictable one dimensional football.

I won’t even put the worst case in words, but if that happens I can see it being a pretty hostile Ricoh.

I think if we lose one of the others will slip up too and we'll be fine.

Yeovil have won 2 of their last 15 games. And Crawley are bottom of form table of last 10.

And both teams have nothing to play for.

I predict our rivals will be at the very least 2 to 3 goals up and thats by half time.

But a draw will do us.

We will see.

As I keep saying, this awful Crawley team drew 2-2 at Exeter.

The last day conjures up odd results and I think Crawley and Yeovil will give their best shot.

No-one wants to end the season with a defeat and a continuation of a bad run.

Why?

If we lose by a goal and Lincoln lose by a goal too we're fine.

All we need to do is equal Lincoln's score because we are already above them in the table.
Ah yes true. Ah you mean by slipping up you mean them losing not drawing.

Dont see lincoln losing not at home. Very worst they will draw. But then again. Yeovil won at our place so strange resukts do happen.

I think you are missing the fact. We have by far the most difficult game of our play off contenders. Purely and simply because the team we are playing are fighting for their lives.

If they execute the same intent as last week there simply will not be a problem - they were devastating.

The team who are fighting for their lives though only need a draw and have not won in 9.

No reason at all for us not to be supremely confident.

I am not saying Mansfield and Lincoln won't both win, but am just saying it is possible that one, if not both of them could slip up.

Entirely feasible.

Apparently some secretive investment fund company has just taken control of Morecambe, our tactics should be for some of our players to have a word with their team about what to expect based on our experience, and they will probably walk off at half time. Their supporters seem nervous about the new owners already

We are also in the best position of the 3
