Irrelevant post of the year. We won.
First half Donny were all over the place and it should have been 3 or 4, but 2 well taken goals and I thought it'd be relatively comfortable second half. Not so as Robins decides to camp in our half and absorb pressure. At times it was almost like we were willing them to score which they did when given acres of space in the box. How we held on I don't quite know but thankfully so and hopefully Robins has learnt his lesson from a series of close shaves at the death.
Well done to all, we need to take a deep breath and give credit to Doncaster who went for it. They deserved a draw, got nothing and I am delighted with that.
We have to remember there are two teams out there and they had a go, they were on the front foot yet we saw the game out.
Fans look for the perfect game and this wasn't it.

But we were efficient at absorbing the pressure and with true grit and character beat a very good team.
We won!
Give the opposition some credit, I don't for one minute think that Robins tactics were to invite pressure.Perfection not quite but we invited all the pressure onto ourselves, needlessly so.

I thought Burge saved on the line how it looked where we stood stand corrected if it was Brown. What save?
What stood out was how willing the players were to close men down and put bodies on the line. We got away with it this week but better sides will take their chances. Not complaining at the win but it was a poor decision to try and park the bus.
I accept what you’re are saying. Robins said that we have some tired or ill players due to a gruelling week.
I know we were hanging on but parking the bus to stifle a vibrant determined opposition won us 3 points - 5 wins on the bounce for the first time in 20 years.
I don’t care if a bloody great double decker is wedged between our posts if it gives us a chance of back to back promotions.
Pusb
As far as I remember we lost twice between the start of that run and the end of the season, lot of draws in the last few games. Villa beat us at home and somebody else beat us
Take nothing away from the first half either by the way, it was excellent and only missed more clinical finishing. At 2-0 though we should have been a bit more ambitious, they were very ropey at the back and there for the taking.
100% brown. Brilliant clearanceI thought Burge saved on the line how it looked where we stood stand corrected if it was Brown.
Whoever it was won us the game.

Fair enough mate. It’s never been that easy watching us.
But I’m really chuffed with my team and Mark Robins. He seems a great fit for our club.
Yeh that’s true, I was so relieved we got the 3 points I forgot about his saves in the first halfI think we proved we are now a proper League One side who should be looking up to the play-off places and not down to mid-table mediocrity or worse. We beat a pretty decent, well organised, but ultimately toothless League One side with two very smartly taken goals. They might feel hard done by, but they didn't create enough to deserve more. In the 2nd half we sat far too deep with no out ball, and got what we deserved: a nervous last 15 minutes. But the tactic - or whatever it was that was going on - worked. MOTM: their keeper for his first half performance.
Snow White if Bashful remains bashful.Good three points - squeaky second half - like pinball in the last 15 - I’m sure our manager will learn something - ref was good except for the 8 minute extra time - considering they are the dirtiest team in the league the trainers were not on once - who’s for sixup
