I know if we have another 20 shots we may get one on target sooner or later
Most of our shots would have been worldies if they had gone in

Not creating any bread and butter tap in goals like they are bound to if we don't score

If only we could shoot on target we might be a decent outfit!

Surprising what can be done when you play players who’ve been together for over a season rather than ones who’ve been here 5 minutes

Our right hand side looks dangerous

Our weakest link looks to be Doyle but fortunately we’ve realised not everything has to go through him so he’s been able to do the ugly stuff, while reffing the game! Wonder if he’d consider becoming a ref after his playing days are up; he loved to ref a game! He did make a few early suicide passes too.

Do we think that MR reckons that a percentage e.g. 10% of shots from outside the box result in goals, therefore if we have 20 such shots we will score twice, therefore encouraging players to shopt on sight???

Playing well, need to make these chances count though or we'll regret it like at Gillingham last week.

When we started playing near football after 15mins or so we looked much better. Have snatched at a lot of shots dragging them wide. Need to be more composed and clinical. Both grimmer and mason having space to go forward; would like mason to have more confidence in himself (looks an excellent prospect). Willis and hyam looking solid so far. Good half but MUST score or we will get punished.

Bit worrying .

Have we actually made their keeper make a save? For all our good play we just aren't getting anything on target . So many miss-hits in the penalty area.

Can see us losing this unless we get our shooting boots on sharpish.

Let’s keep things positive people. Remember we’re playing in a league above and completely embarrassing the opposition. Yes we should have scored, or at least hit the target. And we all know Rochdale score with the first chance they get second half! However, it’s refreshing to see such a dynamic team when you spend your hard earned cash.

Happy with that first half. Started slow for 10/15 minutes allowing them to dictate play and have possession but once we settled thought we started playing some very nice football. Lacking a finish but creating openings. JCH playing well ... but think at times we look overrun in midfield as Doyle seems to be the only player defending for us.
Play Up Skyblues!

The shooting boots are on, they’re just not very good boots

We aren't really embarrassing them.

Bayliss has been outstanding, class above. Mason very good though one or two crosses failed to make their target. Thomas full of running and energy but lacks the finish. We look as though we are snapping at the opportunities once we get in the box. We need to calm down and make the right decision in that last third. It's almost as if the game is screaming for a finisher to be on the pitch.

Bayliss is very hit and miss especially when having to provide cover defensively

Positive first half, just a real shame we have nothing to show for it. When we play like that, it’s exciting to think what we could do this season. We just need to finish the chances we create. If only we signed a striker....

If Thomas could finish we’d be a few ahead by now. Even so, hopefully he’ll learn while he’s here. He’s a nuisance to them and pace is a massive plus at any level.

Mason/Grimmer are good outlets, but their final balls need improving. Bayliss/Doyle look good too.

Shipley not having the best game, and Andreu, as always, is good on the ball, but not on it enough.

I’d give Chaplin and Allesani a go at around 55 minutes for Shipley and JCH/Andreu.

Nick, Grimmer and Thomas have walked through their defense time and again. They have not had a clue how to deal with us coming forward. Yes, I accept that our finishing has been woeful but the Rochdale manager will be fuming, but extremely happy it’s still 0-0. That’s what I was suggesting.

Yet burge has been forced into making a save.

They could easily still win
