With there goal, if you look at the position of there right back and how he is being allowed to run forward with no one on him it means that even if JDS does stop the initial break it's likely it becomes a 2 on 1 for him when that right back gets forward.

It's just a convenient stick to beat JDS with. If they can't criticise him outright, they will use the "he was targeted because he is the weak link" line.
He genuinely has been targeted in the past because of his height. It’s what led Robins to put Kitching at LWB against Luton as one example.

Not the player’s fault, to be clear.

It's really annoying some that JDS is playing better than bidwell.

Weirdos
It's annoying some because they declared Dasilva as "shite, "f*cking shit", "awful" and "a mediocre league one player at best," "useless" and "I wouldn’t let Dasilva be anywhere near the team again", so it must irk them greatly when he DOES play well.

When you are so certain, so sure and have made such an utter and conclusive statement of how bad he is, it must be a little embarrassing when he shows that he can play well.

I have been critical of Dasilva myself at times, but I have always said that there's a player in there.

He has worried me greatly at times with his positioning and defending, but at the moment he is way ahead of Bidwell on merit and long may it continue.

I would love nothing more than Dasilva proving that he does have worth on a consistent basis

He's playing very well at the moment. 🤞

Some though, will just not say it, because of previous sweeping statements of conclusion.

Brilliant points Otis and I agree completely

Would just add that there is also an over rating of bidwell as a rolls Royce player etc and that's also made it hard for those people to realise he isn't as good as they thought he was

He's a good player on his day and he may well play in the closing games and playoffs still, so this time out will hopefully be good for him to get back to his best.

He seems to have slowed. Definitely hasn't looked as on his game as he used to.

Still could be a vital player for us in these games to come, just in terms of fresh legs and he can even cover at centre back can't he.

Think there is something wrong under the bonnet with Bidwell, he has slowed down as has been said by others, needs a complete clean out to see if he can help us over these last 7 games

I think we need to win, as we need to win our home games as I think Luton and Plymouth away will be difficult.

I think Millwall have the easiest run in apart from Burnley away last game. But Burnley players could be on the beach by then.

I think we all know that LB has been a weakness for a couple of seasons. We need a player equivalent to MVE in that position. I'm sure FL and his team are aware, despite the good performances from JDS. As for Bidwell. He's a player I think only should get on the pitch if we have no other choice.

I don't think any of the teams up there will have that mentality, to be honest.

It has happened in the past when teams won the title and their home game celebrations have been gate crashed. People didn't think Sheffield United would lose at Plymouth but they did. Millwall may not need to win it. They are well placed and playing a lot of teams with nothing to play for.

Here's my Thursday message of positivity:

West Brom have won 4/21 away games
Our home record under Lampard is 9 wins and 2 draws from 13 matches
We invariably turn it on in front of big crowds these days

Come 5pm West Brom will be 6 behind and need a near miracle to catch us.

It's on. PUSB.
That’s phenomenal isn’t

won 9
Drawn 2
Lost 2

But if you don’t count goals in added time or near the end of the game or near the start or in the middle it’s not as good

Love this stat from the BBC preview -

'Among all teams to play 20+ league games on Good Friday, only Torquay United (10.5%) and Stoke City (12.5%) have a lower win ratio than West Bromwich Albion (15.4%, 6 wins in 39 games).'

My line up for our biggest game of the season so far.

Back three as to be honest, don’t think we can be as front footed against these lot and give them the space we did against hull.

Allen for Sheaf purely for fitness.

For the record I still think JDS is the better of the 2. I leave you with ICC motto. We come in peace we leave you in pieces........

You need to be of a certain vintage to get that one 😂
Is the guy who laugh reacted your post a relative or a second account used to boost reaction score?

No Tom, just have similar names on here, wouldn't know Macca from TomRad85
I swear you've both blended into 1 for me all this time.. Fair play if it is reaction boosting though, you got to play the game.

Completely off on that one, when I first signed up I wanted Macca, but it was already taken. I decided to combine it with one of my most wonderful days being a 64 year old, old fart

Get with the programme, we've moved on to Collins now.

JDS is in the position he is in because of the positions of Lati and Kitching

The right back is also wide open as well so one of the attacking players needed to be more alive to that and drop into that space
As a LB JDS is in a good starting position, the play was all heading down the right until the ever nifty 38 yr old Ambarrat skipped passed Sheaf to open that left side up. I would say that the player is offside and Hull perhaps lucky to get this one un-flagged. The attempt to block the shot was a little tame but overall JDS played a great game.

The Bidwell contract extension is looking like a poor decision at the moment.
