You've got to be a bit sorry for Doug. Showed trust, made good money available and its gone a bit stinky.
Mind you he's probably still £10m up at the moment... He must be thinking hard about the January spend.

Or he's thinking hard about keeping a manager who's completely let him down?

Robbins has bought in weak characters, I think he struggles with big characters as he’s a control freak. Unfortunately it’s the characters that get you over the line.

WBA were shit scared of is after they scored. We were all over them but yet again missed chance after chance. Robins didn’t change it at HT or even after 60 mins so our heads started to drop and they started looking dangerous again on the counter. Their 2nd goal was offside.
Allen didn’t look fit to me, and we definitely need a CM. Sheaf and Eccles are sound, but not playing together.

By the robins has been great for us

but to say it’s not feasible for him to lose his job if we’re bottom 3 at Christmas is Barmy

we’re a team on the downward spiral

Really fear for Robins in this run. Another match that could have gone either way. Some awful individual performances with players that shouldn't be able to look in the mirror. Sheaf by far the worst I have seen him play for us. Gave the ball away far too much and dithering in the ball as he tends to.
Sheaf had a really bad game today. Looked like when he first came here.

That's the worst I've seen Sheaf play. Dasilva didn't put in a good cross all game. In fact every cross we put in was a pointless floater.

Such frustrating match. We look devoid of confidence, there seems to be a lack of fight in some players which is alarming. Tatsu and Kitching showed the others up in that regard.

Annoying as we looked ok in spells, we really need to take our chances.

Crap mistake for goal 1.

Crap defending for 2. Could have been offside but that is such a stupidly dangerous game to play. Not really sure Fadz can play a highline he just doesn't have the legs to recover.

Wright's powder puff effort 1 on 1 was made to look even more shameful by Asante burring his. He was League 2 last year.

Wright is so weird, he is a big lad, gets into decent positions but seems scared. I just want to shake him.
He’s not enjoying it out there. I reckon it’s because he’s the only player with a long sleeved shirt. What’s that about? 😆

I thought first half he looked better in that his movement and endeavour was there with the odd opening. But generally, he looks scared to score. Like he’s got an electric buzzer attached to him and if he scores it gives him a shock

2-0 WBA

Can see it a change of shape to a 5-2-2-1, lot of nothing possession for us but few chances. WBA to score an early first goal, the crowd will turn throughout the game, we will chase the game and concede late on again.

All in all looking forward to this one… 🙈
So predictable it’s frightening…

That miss from Haji Wright is unforgivable in the circumstances. We are soft as shit and this season will not get any better no one fears us now.

This might work out well Robins is better as the underdog

Just updating the post I made on Wednesday:

Interesting stat. We have lost all the games we have had a significant higher amount of possession. The Rotherham commentary team mentioned it.

61% Wimbledon lost 2-1
64% Cardiff lost 3-2
66% Rotherham lost 2-0
68% Bristol lost 1-0
66% West Brom lost 2-0

Where as the 3 wins we had similar or less possession

49.5% Middlesbrough won 3-0
48% QPR won 3-1
34.5% Blackburn won 1-0

We aren't a possession team, we don't have the players for it. Even without Gus and Vik we are better on the counter, sucking teams out and then hitting them on the break[/b]

I thought Eccles could be added to those who showed some grit. He put himself about and was always showing. Allen too, before he tired. You could see him being frustrated by some around him.

absolutely awful.

boils down to Robins trying to implement a completely new playing style that we’re not capable of implementing.

Wilson is nowhere near the keeper he was last year because he doesn’t have the same protection. He need taking out.

the defence can’t gain any understanding because they’re constantly chopping and changing. Fadz is the only constant and he’s not suitable for this style with his lack of pace exposing us.

What has Bidwell done wrong?

Why has MVE gone backwards as a player already?

Static in the middle because we can only play a holding two. Not replacing Hamer is still baffling. Don’t give me deals falling through. We should have had something signed and sealed before he was sold.

At AM we have a bunch of reasonable players who together will give you no output. O’Hare and Palmer never had a good goals or assist ranking.

Strikers get no help but are incapable of making anything happen on their own. They rarely get a chance to run in behind because the style is to hold the ball for pointless possession. When they do get behind they fluff their lines.

Wright is a waste of money.

it’s like we’re trying to emulate a style of football that has been out of favour for about a decade. Swansea played lovely possession stuff for years and have enjoyed lower half finishes for it.

The intensity has gone. The belief has gone. The team clearly don’t trust each other or are scared to be the one to do anything outside of the plan.

A transition season is something we’re going through but a lot of hard working people give up a lot of their disposable to watch this and it isn’t good enough. Transition normally means inconsistency, we are consistentjust consistently ad.

I’m not suggesting Robins has to go, he’s got a lot of credit in the bank. He is using that credit now though. You can’t spend the money we have and regress as much as we have.

MR needs to put this on his own shoulders. Make a point that he is still the man and dot it out. You can have games with favourable or unfavourable refs. Supporters can be vocal or quiet. It is his job as a manager to not use any excuses and turn it around.
