I now consider myself a lapsed City fan. Had a season ticket for 22 years from the age of six but haven't been to a game in four years. I do live 100 miles from Coventry. Bottom line is it's not recognisable as being the same club as it was pre-SISU and it's no longer enjoyable. As sacrilegious as these may sound I'm increasingly planning to follow other teams.
It is sacrilegious and no pointing at SISU makes it any better

Watching Ryan Kent for Barnsley vs Leeds and he playing well and just scored a cracker.
He also doesn't look like he's seven years old anymore.
How times have changed for him and us

Spot on, I'm at the point this season with every pointless trip to the Ricoh, every wasted journey and added expense to watch them play away, every check of the score to see we have conceded a last minute goal I just think what is the point.

I lost a lot of interest when we were shipped off to Northampton, Tim Fisher has completely ruined the club I've supported since the age of three.

The fact he can go live on radio and talk utter bollocks about the club I love and the club he could not give two shits about makes my blood boil

I totally agree Fisher has played a massive part in making this once great club a huge laughing stock.
Everything he has ever touched in football has fallen apart. The most clueless business person ever to walk this Earth, and if he didn't have such a inflated ego and opinion of himself a deal I'm sure would have been reached many years ago to buy the Ricoh well before Wasps ever came into the councils thoughts.

He riled up the council in the first place, but the council then played there part in the debacle, I'm sure if they had dealt with someone normal who did things in a professional manner some agreement could have been reached.

I can't believe Seppala employs the bloke, he's a joke. Born into money and has always had that to mop up his calamitous business decisions

I have no problem with the sense of failure. We may well go down and we may well stay up. Its looking increasingly likely we will go down. However its not for Linnell to remonstrate his own view giving bias to that argument. His job is to be neutral...that's all I'm saying. Some on here twist what they read to mean something else!
Some also on here obviously have decided our fate already and nailed your flag to the mast. I just hope you don't come back changing your minds again when we string 3 wins together and the outcomes start looking different.
For me its not over by a long chalk. Its horribly gloomy today but there is a long way to go folks.

what a strange comment! I think we're gone, but of course I'll change my mind if we win 3 on the spin, but on current form and performances it's not looking likely is it?

Listening to Andy Rose now on CWR

The players don't give a shit, monotone just going through the motions, he doesnt sound like a person that is up for the challenge

What do you expect when we have owners who clearly dont either

He's been shite and up until today has only scored and contributed to one goal in the entire season.

I really don't get the love in with him.

Still, probably not a shit as some of the tripe we have at the moment!

16 games to go isn't it?

It's entirely possible that Slade can string a few wins together, however the performances and results have worsened since Slade's first two games in charge...your optimism is admirable, but I'll go on record as saying we're going down. If I'm wrong, great, another dismal season in L1 - if I'm right, well, we are on a hell of a slide, since Xmas 2015...L2 will be horrendous, in every possible way.

Why should he be neutral? No other media source is in this country.

That's an Interesting observation. Remind me how those real footballers did for the first 23 games in the season especially bearing in mind that we played some of the poorest teams at home in the early stages of the season and beat none of them.

Do you think this squad suits the Long ball game?
I don't have any issue with Slade doing it temporarily if it prevents relegation. However that won't happen unless he can sign a couple of warriors
One up front and one in Centre Mid.
That style of football will only do us for a few months though.
Once people work you out it's pointless. Not to mention it's shit entertainment as well.

Agree wholehheartedly with this. If it's a short term sticking plaster tactic that works fine - but longer term no thanks (my mate started shouting ''hoof" every time one of our centre backs got it in sarcastic anticipation!

I'm not remotely surprised. Our defence is a bit better now, so we only conceded once, but there are too many players in our squad who are not good enough for this level, maybe even to play at conference level to be honest.

It really is fucking amateur how many late goals we concede. Shocking. Reminds me of our last relegation season when we shipped about 5 seasons worth of late goals in half a season. It's really that fucking bad I almost cannot believe it. Almost as if SISU are paying the players to get relegated.

Unless we get 3 or 4 midfield/attacking players in during the remaining week of the transfer window we will get relegated 100%. Jones up front did worry me too, the guy is no where near good enough. You could have put Grendel up front in his fucking slippers and have more chance of scoring ffs.

...............And if Grendel scores I'll change my username to Grendel's Slipper!

Oh I meant to ask, No pitch invasion, whistles in the crowd putting off players, are we allowed to blame the awful marking for the goal or are the fans at fault.......again!?

I still feel hopeful about making at least the play-offs! (I'm pissed and I don't care any more!) x x

That was the worst game of football I've seen us play in a long time, Bodak is bang on when he said it was non league standard. Its depressing to admit but we are going down, no two ways about it. Its 4 teams that go down isn't it? Linnell got it wrong, we're now 7 points from safety. We're fucked.

Exactly my feelings, an awful game between two poor sides. Never seen so much head tennis in my life and don't think we would have scored if we'd played till midnight. Whilst having a fag at half time I saw 4 people asking the stewards to let them out as they had seen enough.
Burge at fault for the goal as an inswinging corner dropping on the 6 yard line should be the goalies every time.

Fleetwood are a good side lets be honest. They are 4th. They have had some great results. However we played Bolton recently, another good side and nearly won. Again we have lost to a very late goal and a set play. Today from all accounts Slade picked an odd side very unbalanced, and seemingly to make sure we did not lose. At home we have to go for the points, no two ways about it. I thought Slade was a breath of fresh air coming in with honest opinion and he improved us but almost immediately we were just as bad again (last week and today). His signings look average and we still need that illusive striker. Now Bevan is likely out injured.
A game in hand we might have but my optimism is being tested by the way Slade has set up his teams the last two games after having time all week to work with them.
very disappointing and a win next game an absolute requirement. Still like Slades optimism and plenty of points to play for as he says but while he set up to avoid defeat he really should have set up to try and win.
Fleetwood are NOT a good side, let's be honest.

I would mark Burge a mark lower. There was one corner where he came and their man got in front of him. His positioning was completely wrong. Luckily we got away with it.

Willis is NOT a wing back, or for that matter, a fullback. He is almost totally useless coming forwards with the ball when we are on the attack.

I thought Stevenson played well first half, but looked lost in the second

It was dour all round let's face it.

Keep up your excuses
Maybe slade will win next week!
Look at the squad. Look what Mowbray left us with.

Plain as the nose on your face.

We have been shocking up front and that has been down to Mowbray's and Venus's awful summer recruitment.

Slade came in and we immediately got an improvement in Beavon.

Mowbray wanted a big centre half and failed. Slade came in and immediately secured Clarke.

Mowbray and Venus have a hell of a lot to answer for.
