According to Sky Sports - Cranie is training with Leeds.

I am very much in the minority here - but I believe he is a more accomplished defender than Keogh. Really sad to have seen him go.

Sad to see him go but Keogh is better imo. much better team player and leader

The main problem with Cranie is that he lacked the physicality and commitment . He was a good defender but he always seemed quieter and more reserved than say, Keogh. He will still be missed though.

I agree, Cranie is the better player. People tend to sway towards Keogh being the better player though because he was more 'blood and guts'. Massive loss Cranie I think.

Maybe keogh's performance would be less without Cranie alongside him?
Keogh's transfer cost 88k Cranie's was 880k, 10 times more! He'd likely be on a higher salary too?

Cranie is the better centre half, no doubt.

That will probably end Leeds interest in Keogh if they sign Cranie, unless they want a couple centre halfs.

But who always put in the most tackles. Who cut out the majority of crosses in the box? Who tried to get the ball forward the most?

One of them always waited to see what happened next, so did nothing to stop any attacks until it was too late leaving Keogh to do one of his many tackles or clearances. The other one made things happen with his actions. The one that did the most work made the most mistakes. Is that because he had the ball or even challenged for it a lot more?

They complemented each other very well. If you want a defender that sits back and waits then Cranie is your man. If you want a defender that will go for the ball all the time and get it most of the time then Keogh is your man.

Would prefer 2 Keogh's than 2 Cranie's
