If it has been found to have been 'fixed' what happens? match replayed?

I reckon City must have had thousands of matches fixed over the years cos we're always throwing leads away very late in the game.

I suppose, someone sits at the game, says goal Cov for example. someone sitting at the other end of the phone with a betting site on, places bets before it's suspended.

Ah so they can put a bet on before it filters through, would have to be mega quick.

Yes they close it so fast if goal, must do when the balls trickling in, be on the phone for 90 minutes.

When overseas though I bet the markets are a bit slower in closing the markets so bit easier

Not really, If you're betting on goals, I suppose you sit there, with two slips open, one for home the other for away, whatever comes in you just place it. Most sites have a delay for 'in play' betting but I reckon you could easily get around it by having someone there feeding info back.

Unless it affects the result then it shouldn't be a police issue, someone has found a fall in a service and is exploiting that, it's down to the betting site to plug that hole.

Is it actually illegal? Like you say, the betting site should be sorting the issue.

I'd say no, you aren't affecting play, you haven't bribed anyone, you're just exploiting a flaw in a service.

at 2-0 up i turned and said to the guy next to me, i might check the odds on a 2-2 draw. But thats not match fixing, thats just knowing we cant defend!

Surely if there is a time delay on a website that's just the bookies luck out?

Don't really see how this is a crime.

Is it illegal to keep people abroad up to date with the scores? Does that mean the fella who does the Live Text should be arrested?

Not sure of the legalities of it. Imagine if the 'mole' relayed a goal, thousands (or more) were placed on it, and it got disallowed!

Tried to put a bet on the last 10 mins and all betting was suspended for the rest of the game by bet365. Something dodgy here.
