Just bought two tickets for the Southend game online, £18 a pop and £0.90p postage. Everything worked spot on and it was interesting to look back over my purchase history for the last 5 years. Queuing should be reduced to a minimal and Bobs your uncle. It's the best way to do it after a season ticket.

but in many cases - they were taking £20 notes for tickets, without anything being registered - just what your local diy trader will do if he wants to avoid a tax bill
Yet if they were putting it through a till, asking for customer numbers or postcodes and waiting for a receipt to print every time you would have moaned about the bigger queues right?

Let's be honest, it is poor having a delayed kick off for 11 to 12 thousand supporters.

the return to the Ricoh was a shambles ticket wise and 12 months on they are still struggling despite anticipating a big walk up last night. They need to sort this if they want fans to return.

its bad enough travelling in and out of Coventry with all the roadworks and that's before you get to the Ricoh. Come on City you need to get this sorted.

Might be worth them not selling tickets at the ground. If you want to pay on the day cash at the turnstile. It's £20 so there shouldn't even be messing about with change.

Then you just have to deal with ticket collections. Split up by surname so have say 4 staff each doing a quarter of the tickets. Have them all alphabetised ready for collection and you should be able to get it done fairly quickly.

Apparently a big reason if the queue was they had to wait for the tickets print to everyone who was buying in the ticket office

The easy option is make it pay on the gate only then you'd only have people queuing to collect tickets which should be preprinted and a lot quicker. With tickets being £20 you should be able to get cash payers through the gate quickly as there won't be a need to mess around with change.

Clubs don’t like fans paying cash though. Its messy, open to fraud and theft, time consuming to count up and banks charge a small fortune to businesses for banking cash.
