Good win for the bears against the Surrey all stars who despite missing around 15 players to the hundred still managed to play three ex internationals Sibley,Burns and Foakes.

Enjoyed that win .Listened to the final 10 overs when Sibley(ton and on the losing side)was doing his stuff only for the internet where I'm staying to go down before the last ball.
Forget about "The Hundred" 600 plus balls at more than a run a ball ending with Surry needing a 6 off the last ball those at Rugby got value for money.

Interesting that Foakes didn’t keep and the keeper missed a fairly routine chance.

Also the guy is 25 so not a young lad and has hardly played any first team cricket
Probably the worst county atm to try and come through the ranks at - with their big budget approach. Also with the downgrading of the 50 over comp a lot of counties take on players (mainly from ECB premier divisions) on small contracts tocover this period

Hiding from the heat watching Originals v Chargers .The Originals have set off at a great rate 3 a ball off the first 20 balls.Stokes just come on slowed it down slightly they only got 13 off his first 5.

Why the fuck is Stokes even playing in this? Supposed to be on a managed workload.

Can't help but feel if it was a Durham game in the Metro Bank or Blast the ECB wouldn't let him within a million miles of playing

It seems on Chris Woakes is on a managed workload as he is never available for anything apart from England, he should be having a run out in the 50 over cup to keep ticking over.

Desperately sad about Thorpe. Battling anxiety and depression that ended in him taking his own life. Mental health is a bitch.
Maybe more people like our director of performance or whatever will address this, to late for him, but I'd be reassured that it must exist in the set up now!

Also shows how hard it can be to treat. If you read the article it seems they've tried every type of treatment possible and he would have been in a position, and had the backing of the PCA, to get the best treatment you can get, but in the end it sadly made no difference.
