The lack of 100 is because he plays stupid shots when he gets in so should fit in with this England side. Pope is safe in that side until the summer it’s pretty hard to get out of the side as a batsman. The lad hasn't even made a red ball 100 (averaging 25). If Pope doesn't find some form England are going to need an extra battter. He'd be better off going with the Lions to SA and Australia.
I wouldn’t have taken Leach and would have taken another pace bowler.
Tough series. Interesting to see Cox goes - quite a few keeper/batsmen options available.
3 spinners is a strange oneI wouldn’t have taken Leach and would have taken another pace bowler.
I would have gone for Rew at Somerset but equally I didn’t think Smith would be good enough so I might leave it to the pro’sTough series. Interesting to see Cox goes - quite a few keeper/batsmen options available.

Think Rew will benefit from the 2 Lions tours. Smith has to keep performing there's a queue of youngsters lining up behind. let's hope Cox goes well and gives the selectors genuine headaches in at least one position. The strength in depth just isn't there for the batting positions.I would have gone for Rew at Somerset but equally I didn’t think Smith would be good enough so I might leave it to the pro’s
I actually saw somebody say what about Bairstow the other day.Think Rew will benefit from the 2 Lions tours. Bairstow smh!!I actually saw somebody say what about Bairstow the other day.
Cox and Smith could play with Pope carrying the drinks.
Was pretty obvious there had been a massive drop given that every other year there's been a press release on the day of the final talking about how fantastic everything has been. Even those figures fell apart when you scratched the surface but this year there was nothing they could spin into a good news story. No more international cricket live on free-to-air TV as ECB fails to agree deal
ECB struggle to interest Channel 4 or ITV in four live games a year after deeming BBC’s offer too lowwww.theguardian.com

Great to see. From Rugby School and Bablake. Both Warwickshire boys in the England side over in Antigua
A while ago on The Grade Cricketer podcast they described whiteball, well T20 but I think it applies to all whiteball, as background noise.Does anyone care about this ODI's?
It feels like there is too much cricket at the moment.
Still didn’t defend over 200Windies 136-0 3 balls later 136-3.
Not a game they seemed to take too seriously with the series won. Played Overton even though he "couldn't" bowl.Still didn’t defend over 200
Have they finally seen sense. After 11 years of every social media post having replies about people supporting Warwickshire not Birmingham have they got the message? One significant change is that the team based at Edgbaston are listed just as the Bears, suggesting that the name Warwickshire might be used in T20 again after 11 seasons playing under the Birmingham Bears banner.
Any return to the proper namesand I'll take an interest again. Have hated the "Birmingham" nonsense from the beginning. From the BBC article about the release of next seasons Blast fixtures:

Suspect it won't be as straightforward as that.
Having done one of the ECB's beloved reviews and decided that the women's game needs to align with counties it seem they then haven't enforced that hence Nottinghamshire's Women's team are retaining The Blaze branding and Lancashire's women's team will be Thunder while the men's team is Lightening
As ever, even when they come up with a vaguely decent idea they manage to make a mess of the execution
There's something wrong at the club tbh, players leaving, players retiring, none of them being adequately replaced.I think the Birmingham name came in as Birmingham council wanted it as part of the finance deal for the new stand which was changed from the city end to the Birmingham end.
im more worried about the lack of new signings and Burgess retiring plus most of the season without Bethell who will be carrying the drinks for England and Mousley for the one days
They seemed unfocused going into last season in terms of new signings, carrying existing players that hadn't played much due to injury and scrapped through the seaon with temporary signings. There's something wrong at the club tbh, players leaving, players retiring, none of them being adequately replaced.
But even that's better than the women's side. Since the women's side has officially come under 'Warwickshire' branding all the best, and long serving, players seem to have moved elsewhere. Must have the youngest, most inexperienced side in the country. Not good when there's an attempt next season to relaunch women's domestic cricket and a lot of T20 double headers. People will lose interest fast.
This coach and squad will get relegated there just aren’t enough runs in it.They seemed unfocused going into last season in terms of new signings, carrying existing players that hadn't played much due to injury and scrapped through the seaon with temporary signings.
Something's not right at the club on the playing side. There were some poor sides put out last year and some really dire Championship performances.
Rhodes a big loss. This coach and squad will get relegated there just aren’t enough runs in it.
Players like Rhodes, Barnard and Burgess are perfect county cricketers never going to push on to internationals so always there and do a good job.Rhodes a big loss.
Over 1000 runs in Championship last season which covered middle order weakness.Players like Rhodes, Barnard and Burgess are perfect county cricketers never going to push on to internationals so always there and do a good job.
