Hopefully that's the end of the Lawrence experiment. But looking down the list of openers doing well this year it's mainly England discards anyway.

close out these last 5 without doing anything crazy and we're in with a great chance here.

got to say the scheduling is crazy. no Blast games since middle of July and now they're playing the quarters at night in September, added bonus its the first week schools are back. Then there's only a week for people to organise tickets, travel and accommodation if their team gets through to finals day.

We need to accelerate the rate with the odd boundary. Nothing daft required yet but we are not going to win this in singles.

It doesn't help the cause when the captain gives his wicket away in virtually every game. Barnard, Rhodes and Burgess would all have performed better than him. It's been obvious all season the batting is weak, but the response was to sign more overseas bowlers instead of a batsman. I know we finished top, but the 1/4 results show, the Northern section is full of very weak teams

Davies said they misread the pitch. Their home pitch.

I’m on board with the concept of Bazball but that wasn’t a cricket shot by Duckett

Smith looking to drag them out of it

Our field placings are too aggressive.

I appreciate the need to take wickets but we cannot afford to keep leaking runs at this rate.

Hopefully Bairstow, Wood and Stokes follow Ali out the door

Wood is bowling as fast and as well as ever. The problem of course is his fitness.

We need to keep Wood, Stone and Archer in the frame for test cricket in the hope that at any particular time at least one of them is fit enough to play.

I accept that Wood is moving towards the end of his test career. Can’t see him having more than another couple of years.
