It’s pathetic at the Bears I haven’t even bothered to watch on the stream today, they really need to bring in a couple good of batsman for next summer and get the overseas issue sorted. I still see the odd rumour about Hain moving on as well.

Heard the same about Hain and I have my doubts how long Bethell will be here. If you look at the squad currently you could count on one hand the number of players you'd give a second thought if they moved on so if you start losing any of those handful of players you really need to be making big name signings.

Something seems wrong at the club. Same is already happening with the Womens side. During the test Athers was talking about the new womens setup and how clubs and players will be more closely aligned to the counties in the mens game. Made the comment that they're not expecting to see major movement of players over the summer but already 2 of the best Sparks players, Eve Jones and Marie Kelly, have announced they're off elsewhere.

I wonder who is being linked with Hain the usual I guess but I can’t see who else would pay him more maybe Notts who need to rebuild.

The club need to focus on the cricket not just all the off the field stuff I would be begging Trott or Bell to return as coach and get rid of Robinson.

Starting as we left off, 4 down for 22. Hain can’t buy a run at the moment.

Robinson meeting the members for lunch tomorrow…

All over logged on to see the last couple of wickets, they need to be working hard through the winter to find at least a couple players to add to Bamber and that’s if Hain stops.

Losing by an innings when the opposition only scores 232 is just embarrassing. Changes needed.
Changes in the coaching and the team needed but I am not sure the hierarchy have the want or the ability to do it, both the director of cricket and coach should go and the batting coach should join them.

I’d be looking to start the changes higher up tbh, the people in charge seem more concerned with property development than running a successful cricket club

The people at the very top are hard to shift and if they get any stick will look to sacrifice somebody down the chain.

Check your emails if you applied for the ballot, got Day 1 India tickets.

Hopefully more reasonably priced than the £90 for a restricted view at Lords!

Founder of the IPL rips apart the ECB's projections for the Hundred. Who would have guessed the numbers don't add up.

I mean the guy is batshit crazy and dodgy as fuck but he knows his stuff with franchise cricket.

It's a problem for ECB because the IPL franchises are one of the main source of investment they are chasing for the Hundred teams.
Personally i think he's right - can't attract global stars, now in direct calendar competition with US 20/20 tht has more money than ECB etc.
Of the highlights i've seen they can't get close to selling out venues.
Sky keeps it alive and at some point they must realize they are overpaying.

ECB's previous figures have already been shredded for claiming it made an early profit when counties's independent report showed it clearly didn't.

They need to admit they were wrong and scrap the 100, I would make the blast played over a month in a block including finals day so you can get the decent overseas players in it. It would be nice to see something like the Sunday league brought back its pathetic that you get games in the week and then nothing at the weekend when the crowds would be higher

Lessons from ODI series - none of Stone, Carse or Potts are good enough. All bowl too many bad balls to control runs or exert pressure.

Bears finish a shambolic red ball season with just 1 win - that was against bottom side Kent. Not good enough.

Going to be interesting to see how many ways English batsmen can find to get themselves out on this flat track. No need to get silly there's plenty of runs out there.
