Lots of people will be on there holidays, me included, many have given up. Don't think it will be as low as in the 4000's but wouldn't be surprised to see it as low as in the 6000's. Hopefully more though.

Can't see more than 6k for this even if it is openening day and i dread to think how bad it will get if we start poorly... Could be down to 4k.

Difficult to gauge. I would say around 6,500

It baffles me that we now start the season in early August.
Most people I know take holiday in the first 2 weeks of August. You are easily losing a fair percentage of your fan base. Why not revert to last weekend in August which made much more sense? Get rid of international breaks and have qualifiers for World Cup or Euros as May or August tournaments in the year prior to the main tournament.

I really haven't got a clue. First game, nice day? Could be anything from 6,000-9,000.

Hope it is the latter and we get off to a storming start to the campaign.

6785. Need to get out of the blocks early or like others have said it could be down to 4-5000 against the Accrington Stanleys on a Tuesday. Can't really see there being much of a walk up when it's £24 a time.

Where is the wedding? It is only your niece. You won't be missed for a couple of hours if local to the game.

Your family should understand. I have a family get together next month. I am dropping my wife off in Coventry then driving to Yeovil for the game.

Yeah and I was best man at my brother's wedding and still snuck out to go to the game City had on that day. Went to 'the toilet' straight after the speeches and just didn't come back.
I have sneaked out of a couple of weddings. But at least I went back. Don't think I was missed either time.

We haven't touched the loan market yet though have we. We get in a Samuel, or Armstrong or McGoldrick we'll be fine.

I trust Robins is on it as we very speak and I am not unduly worried.

I agree and trust MR judgement but important we get "up and running" and treat all 46 games as needing to win. No point being behind the pack after 6 games.
Hope he gets in a couple of loanees this week who are up and running and have completed a pre season.
The loanees, if U21s must be better than our kids (Stevenson, Ponti etc) or no point.

We are all usually very optimistic at the start of the season, it would be nice to hit the 10,000 mark in the opening game

i missed the big one in 87 because of a wedding - brides mother asked my wife if i was ok as i was out to the car every 10 mins - irony was the groom was a Tottenham fan however i was the one to break the good news on the top table :joyful:

Yeah, I didn't bother to go back and I made no mention of going to the game to anyone either.

Might have seemed mean at the time, but I felt fully justified when the marriage only lasted 3 months.

There's nothing like the first game of the season. Great memories such as walking up the steps and seeing the HR pitch in the sunshine for the first time in months.

I cannae wait until Saturday. It will only be my third game of the year so it'll be good to be back.
