Crowd on Monday (3 Viewers)

The 'spending money' idea is great but that all goes to Wasps so the net effect is we've lowered our revenues to get more people in the ground for someone else to profit!

Games like these are a hard sell, anyone who's not local is surely going to think twice about making trip on a Monday night when they can sit at home, or in the pub, and watch the game.

yeah that's the thing. If the money from all the beers etc was going to us they could make it cheaper and count on people spending like Wasps do, but we can't do that.

What? like sixfields when only 1,000 were going? Behave.

End of the day, it's all about support for the team. More fans the better atmosphere. Imagine if rumours are true and 6k there? Be horrible atmosphere and look a disgrace on TV. I'm dreading it

Yep, won't be good, but to be honest where the camera is situated it looks pathetic on TV when there are 20k+. It's easy to blame the club, but the fans need to take a long hard look at themselves if it is as low as 6k. I think it will be 7.5-8k on par with what we've been getting this season.

Has anyone clarified the conditions of the rental deal?

I thought we returned as it's a cheap rent, and we get a percentage of matchday revenues?

Why they don't put the cameras on the other side is beyond me. At the Gillingham game, there was a camera on a platform in block 25, and it took up a good 30 seats, and impaired the view for those behind.

The fans need to take a long hard look at themselves? Are you joking?

Us fans have had to deal with so much shit, selling best players, moving to Northampton, court cases, lies and you blame the fans. That comment is ludicrous stu.

Sisu have drove the fans away. The fans have lost fight but most of all interest due to all the off the field shenigans. 17,000 average when sisu took over now it's down to 8,000.

No, I wasn't joking. Yes SISU drove the fans away, but regardless if we do get just 6k for a league game at the Ricoh, that is a disgrace for a city and catchment area of well over 800k residents IMO. Especially given then some fans still believe we're a big club.

The days of fans supporting CCFC regardless have long gone.
It's a good product first I'm afraid. Start giving fans hope of promotion and we know they will come back slowly.
Plenty of other things to do these days I'm afraid and Northampton broke the habit.

can't agree more, last time sky were here we had 27'000 nearly all them saying how delighted they were the club were back in coventry, then at the following home game it was 10'000 so where had 17'000 delighted "true sky blue" fans gone?

Delighted they are back in Coventry is a start, now we need to get them excited about doing it every week.

This, exactly. Me and my mate haven't renewed ST's and have managed just a few games between us, whereas we would have carried on going regardless of performance pre-Sixfields. I wonder how many 1,000's of regular supporters that move has cost the club? It's permanently reduced the size of the club, basically. Although I suppose it helps to justify that "we only need a 15k ground" argument, should they actually ever build the thing!

Agree. But it seems like Sisu are not bothered that we are at this level so do you still support knowing it's fruitless ?

Surely most fans would support the team whether it was champions league or conference wouldn't they?

But all fans expect to be in with a chance of promotion each year.
Since relegation from the PL we are only moving slowly one way.

If I supported a team based on success I'd support Man Utd, Liverpool etc.

Like I said, surely Coventry City fans would support them (the team) whatever league?

Obviously not ?
Don't people also need to believe that we could have some success? Perhaps even a promotion ?

Corrected that for you.

Regarding wasps he'd be one of the 20,000 other than he's one of a handful who actually pay to watch them.

No or we would see sell out at every club in the land?

We are no different to any other supporters all this shit about City fan this and City fans that bollox.

Any way back on topic 7500 not bad for a Sky match on a Monday night, unfortunately I can't make it. So maybe only 7499.

What need to be in promotion run for people to support their team? I really dont understand it.

I dont think the issue is supporting the team, i think the issue is dragging yourself down to the stadium to watch shitty football in a shitty league.

People support the team. People just dont go and watch. There is a difference. I hardly get down there to watch them...im maybe a few times a season, but i dont live local

Doesn't say much for this protest that apparently everybody is clamouring to be part of. Only 7.5k turn up to take part.

Obviously the issue is supporting the team as the team I support are in a shitty league so I'll watch them in there.
If I wanted prem football I'd go watch villa or wba.

Your nearly there.
Obviously you want us to be in the PL.
If they charged you £40 a match would you still go ?
