There will be a few added to the attendances in general now that the University students are back - more attractive fixtures for the neutrals, plus a few more likely to follow Championship teams than L1, which is when they would last have had the opportunity for matches. Not sure of the numbers, but wouldn't be surprised if it was 3 figures for a lot of the games.

Warwick’s term doesn’t start for another couple of weeks but you’ll definitely get a few Cov students up there.

Quite surprised the club doesn’t offer discounted tickets for students considering the number that reside in the city.

They used to do that but over the season where you could pick the game. Think if you did it for one game there wouldn’t much of an increase

I hadn’t got a clue about VPN but a few weeks ago I downloaded Nord via the App Store. I’m a real technophobe - can’t even use pay at pump but even I managed it and it works a treat.

I was talking to someone after the Middlesborough game who asked me if I'd been to the match. I told him I had. He told me that he had seen it too at St Finbarrs Club on their big screen.
If clubs and pubs around Coventry and Warwickshire are using Ifollow (can't believe Finbarrs is an isolated example) then I think it is going to be an uphill battle getting people back to the stadium.

Ironic really that a place that charges fans going to the game to park at their club (£5?) will presumably allow those going into their club to watch the game park free.

Twenty, twenty five, thirty quid to get into the stadium, the hassle of getting there, parking, sitting out in the cold or;
turn up somewhere a few minutes before kick off, in the warm and dry and spend what would have been your admission money on a few pints with change in your pocket to boot.

I think football will have a growing problem with illegally streamed games.

I'm not sure, realistically, what can be done to stop it. £60 a year gets you access to pretty much any live sport you want to watch from around the world.

Clubs have to stay on their toes, making sure the whole experience of physically going to a match in a stadium is appealing.

These do the opposite of actually supporting your club.
It's not just financial. It's being the 12th man at the game.

That applies if you are used to going and are of an older generation I think. I'll admit I have IPTV, and it's very convinient, if I'm strapped for time or cash. But I would much rather go and watch live.

Difficulty football faces in the next decade or so, if that the current younger generation like things made as simple as possible for them or they wont bother. Everything is given to them on a plate. They dont want to exert themselves to get or do something because they'll be an alternative which is far easier.

I only watch away games on oFollow because I’ve never been an away supporter and can’t make time for it. Or home games if I’m on holiday and can’t make it. Everyone should attend if they at all can IMO.

Agreed, can't imagine sitting in the Finbarrs while probably less than a mile away the match is actually taking place. Especially with the completely reinvigorated experience and atmosphere up there thesedays.
