I was right there too and it happened exactly as you said.Ok just had a read .
A Sunderland fan states Coventry fans behaviour in both fixtures , however some people like myself don’t just see things one way ... I was standing RIGHT NEXT TO the Sunderland fan who threw the very first punch over the fence at the Ricoh which In turn started the mass brawl .
If we want to use their line , they started the trouble next to women and children , I had my 8 year old daughter crying her eyes out next to me whilst grown men were trying to rip each others eyes out , men from both sides .
So spare me the “we are thou holy arseholes” bollocks
On a plus side and credit to a Sunderland fan , he asked if my daughter was ok and gave her £2 , which I refused but he insisted .
Moral of the story , their fans aren’t perfect , ours certainly aren’t but I can’t help but feel they’ve poked at our fans and club for a few years now and created the rivalry that they now denounce
That's it, if anyone's going out of business, it'll be the team that's paying a bang average Cattermole £65k a week in L1 next season.Beat me to it as i was going to post that..They are obsessed beyond belief. All the usual classic comments about going out of business.Miss out on promotion and they are in trouble

Batches not rolls!!! :emoji_rage:Don't forget to 'hoy' your bread rolls at them at breakfast. They will be expecting it.
I can certainly confirm this. My dad was a miner in Binley Colliery. Very proud to be a miner’s son I am too!On that thread they’ve slated us , pompey , Everton , Grimsby and Scunthorpe fans .
I mean clearly the problem doesn’t lie anywhere near Sunderland supporters as they are a wonderful bunch lol
There were pits in Coventry too lads btw
Batches not rolls!!! :emoji_rage:
How long will it before they start a 20 page foaming onslaught about our usual Cov man sitting in the front row of the Crucible ?
Exactly! 41 games of shite = relegationNo because our poor showing of fans outsung their 30,000 plus crowd.....
They are just a bunch of sour grapes lot.
The reason you get religated is because you lose too many games and have been shit all season not because of one result.
And the locals here in Malvern call them baps, but I'm COVENTRY born and bred so I call them batches. Always have, always will do.In Herne Bay we call them rolls not batches:vomit:

I live in KENT and we call them rolls. Always have. Always will. If that's OK with you:spiderman:
No I'm notthat's fine, but you're wrong!!

Arriving in the pub at Donny yesterday there was a sizable group of lads from Sunderland. They were there for the races. No issues at all, spoke to a few, had a bit of banter and they were shaking hands with city fans as they left.
It makes all the hand-wringing and hysterics on RTG all the more bizarre. That can't be representative of their fan base as a whole, surely? They're batshit crazy on there, and there are few, if any, dissenting voices.
No it's not.I live in KENT and we call them rolls. Always have. Always will. If that's OK with you:spiderman:

This is my favourite, as historical re-writes go it's right up there. The only saving grace is that he won't get his wish to watch us die before he does, he is a waste of good scotch.
No it's not.
Oh no. You don't attempt or expect to put to bed the batches v rolls debate that easily, do you?Call them what you like and find a new argument. Jeeeez. What a tired argument.
This "south" you talk of. I have heard it mentioned previously but care little for a place unable to embrace the batch.Look. In the south they are called rolls.
End of
