When was the last time we've taken 22 of 27 points? I don't think we did during the season we won League 1 (but I didn't go through to check).

Also, in trying to think where we actually need to strengthen, the only areas I can think of are RWB, depth at the back, and a stronger backup striker.

It feels like this is the best we've played in a very long time.

Don't think we've done it since winning League One
28/01/20 - 07/03/20
23 points out of 27 in consecutive league games

Fleetwood D
Bristol Rovers W
Bolton W
Portsmouth W
Southend W
Rochdale W
Rotherham D
Sunderland W
Ipswich W

Didn't we do it in the Mowbray League One season when Adam Armstrong was scoring for fun?

We took an unbelievable 43 points from a possible 51leading up to the league being cancelled in 2019-20.
Never anywhere near it under Mowbury tho.

We really should have signed Cyrus Christie at the start of the season when he was without a club

Did all of those except Fleetwood (part-timer!)

We could strengthen all over the pitch. Our depth is still seriously lacking in every position except for attacking midfield .

Maybe a small squad is A closer squad backed up by acedemy talent, even keeping a rebel like Kane in line.

So nice to look at - makes me wish we didn’t have this break.

I was at that Fleetwood game - it was so windy that we took a throw in and the wind blew the ball straight back at the thrower and out of play!
You didn’t miss much!

We look less flamboyant but also look very solid. The Box midfield is there protecting our back 3. And also turns defence into attack in secs.

Southend was blowy too. Struggled to open the pub door on the sea front to get out - didn't think the game would go ahead !

Dabo is always injured for half a year
Kane is not rated at all by the manager and wants him gone
Eccles is most definitely not a RWB

I think most fans will agree we need a RWB

Was talking to my Dad yesterday about what we’d need to make a solid playoff push and it’s depth really and maybe a GK.

I’d say GK, RCB, LWB, CM. You could do that for less than £5m in Jan for loans and a couple of signings. And not all of them would be straight into the side as much as cover or options. Maybe a backup striker which would push things higher.

Eccles may not be a RWB at the moment but what i will say he is a great learner and gets better every game in that position as well as his greneral play .I would take a bet now there are worse players in that position in the championship right now.

If you conveniently ignore that we've played fewer games than anyone else... we've got the best defence in the division. Madness.

Eccles seems to have settled in the full back position since that poor showing at Sunderland, he has marked some top players well.

I’ve been a bit sad in recent years when we’ve sold players like McNulty, Leon Clarke, Maddison and Wilson because they were stars in the team who I enjoyed watching play. And I know we’re a selling club, that almost every club in the country is… but recently I’m reaching levels of fear over losing players that I’ve not felt since a teenager in the mid to late 90s! Breen/Babb<Fadz, Boateng<Sheaf, O’Hare<Hadji, Hamer<McAllister, Keane/Dublin<Gyokeres. Will be absolutely gutted when this team gets broken up and I’m dreading the January transfer window!

Completely agree - all we can do is enjoy it while it lasts and hope we fluke our way into the promised land
