So, can anyone guess what the subject of tonights phone-in will be ? I'm really looking forward to a chat about whats happening (or not) on the pitch, rather than the verbal and legal battles in the bored room (sic), in the stands and out in the car park.

"Get out of my city get out of my club"?

So I guess a comparison of the match day culinary delights, aka the Sky Blue version of the "Meat Pie", when viewed against last years offerings isn't gonna happen ? :hungover:

Good point been made about a boycott of a match. If we get a home FA cup draw pick that as season tickets won't count. The added bonus being we ain't getting to a final so nothing ultimately to lose unlike a league game.
Completely agree, and I would happily boycott it. Good point made about what happens if the 22nd is the new managers first game.

Its a shame someone had a pop at those who don't boycott thr Rochdale game, I can see it getting a bit nasty.

Spending money On ryton and the coach +a fee for Vincelot then losing two alleged big earners in the summer

So if it's been confirmed that the budget is lower this season than last what has happened to the Madison money?
Have I been in a parallel universe?
Did J'S have to pump in £600K then take it back out again due to us needing 14000 instead of 11000?

The way managers and assistants are dropping like flies due to newspaper scandals at the moment TM won't be out of work long either.

Mowbray is already saying we will see over the next few weeks and month what happens. I think he already has something lined up.

Yes. Someone apparently got their sums wrong last season (guessing Waggot) and no one though to double check them until we were a good way through the season. That's professional business people for you.

f'kin travel news, why don't we call it the bbc c&w travel show & intersperse it with CCFC talk
That's your third rant in two days about a local radio station having travel bulletins.
It's what they do.
It's a public service
It's one of the features that distinguishes local radio from national radio
They're not going to change their format on the few occasions you listen just because you don't like it.

that was an easy one, ceetee, was a mere poke @ c&w, they have options, i believe, to adjust their programming but always stick to a tried formula, & it's not a public service when 99% of listeners don't want it

more importantly, was the last bit of audio when mr eakin said something about texts that he hadn't got round to, when 1 in particular was from dave johnson, to the effect that at close of business on fri, the CCFC owners, otium entertainment were some £13 or £30m (couldn't hear that bit was in another room), in the red & were liable to be unable to trade as the FA / FL would call that insolvency, i'm gonna have a go at listen again

Regarding budget Mowbray admits it was lower than last season but not significantly. He pointed out that last season Armstrong, Kent and Murphy were allowed to come on loan free. Yet this year's loans have had to be paid for eating into the budget.

Yeah, where has this massive cut story come from? Who has said that? Can only see it mentioned in here and nowhere else.

Well then he made the wrong decisions. Would've been better off spending that cash on real men in positions we need.

Bloke in the local last night.
"Still watching the City?" I grimaced and replied "Yes mate, unfortunately, You?"
"No chance, the clubs fucked, shit players wank owners and it's going down bottom, Mowbray had the best idea fucking off when he did, just listened to that CWR phone in same old bollocks each week, why doesn't that c**t Fisher or someone go on there and explain what they`re up to?"

Pretty fair point I suppose.

You have to look at it in real terms. We've had a cut (where's the Maddison money gone?), say for arguments sake 80% of the rest of the league have had a rise. We could well have easily fell into the bottom half of the league for budgets. So in real terms it's a big cut.

Mowbray sold the club to the big boys as a place to send young players for game experience. They got these players for nothing and I hear the shirt sponsors provided accommodation, all the club did was provide the training and game time. Obviously TM did not do so well this year on this front, whoever we get next will not have the standing he had in the game so we can't expect another Armstrong any time soon.

Have the rest of the league had a rise though?

Would love to see the figures.

What I don't get (and Nick alluded to it too) is that if our budget was so drastically cut then why was Mowbray chasing Championship players, the likes of Wilson, who we surely never had a cat in hell's chance of ever getting?

All the high earners at the club moved on in the summer. Mowbray probably thought he could get some Champ players with the money.
