Don't usually listen to cwr post match these days but sure yesterday eakin mentioned a rumour of someone looking to buy both cov and wasps, did anyone else hear it and confirm it please or was he talking "what if".

Don't know about that but going slightly off topic, it makes my blood boil knowing that the egg chasers were playing on OUR pitch yesterday.

That unfortunately would be our only way out of this shit storm

Buy it all and split London Wasps away and shut it down or give it away but with no option to play in Coventry.
don't know if CRFC supporters would like this or hate it but could you in theory merge CRFC and Wasps, have the new club all under CRFC name and branding but playing in the Premiership?

Yes Clive did mention that he’d heard a rumour about someone looking at buying both the Sky Blues and Wasps.

Sooner them merge with Ealing, don't think anybody would want to merge with Wasp though

Yeah, I heard that while queueing to get away from the ground. Didn't sound like a "what if".

CRFC tried this before, when they attempted to merge with Bedford who were a Premiership club at the time. Not sure if it didn't happen because of rugby's regulations, or because of other factors between the 2 clubs involved though.

That would of been stupid, it's not like Bedford are an MK Dons or something, plenty of history with both them and Cov

He wants Hamer to play for the wasps during all his suspensions

That really is the worst of both worlds.

I'm an infrequent visitor to the Butts (City take priority). However, I've always enjoyed my sojourns to see CRFC.

Merging the two would see the mutant club playing at the CBS (Boo!) and would leave the Butts empty.

There's no way the Butts would meet current criteria for top level rugby.

Even oggy agreed with that Phil. Clive will admit he couldn’t provide a comeback to the argument against london wasps and SISU.

I don’t care if we get taken over alongside Jack the Ripper so long as we get rid of this lot masquerading as our owners.

Fair play to Oggy, he's beginning to start questioning things. Something the old guard at CWR would never.

Even he was getting impatient at the lack of subs yesterday. Not sure what Clive meant by saying 'Wasps paid for it' at the same time as 'the football club gave them a loan' though.
