Ooh ok youve got me scared wouldnt want to upset you and your sex offender friend. Amended just for you hunWas he convicted of rape? Don’t think so, if I was you I’d delete that post.
He's not much think that's why he is linked with us. On a reasonable wage he would be a decent loan but I am more concerned by the lack of consistent infilance our ACMs are having on games and he will likely not be able to address that.Didn’t know he was still playing
Who’s mentioned or on about signing him up , you dipstick, him being Marcus.Oh okay, sound then, sign him up. He's only 40 now.

Thought he was shite there too...may as well get in earlyDrinkwater is on over 100k per week and is nowhere near the Chelsea squad with a contract which ends in 18 months. I wouldn’t be surprised if he just runs down his contract or Chelsea pay him off.
I can’t see Chelsea being too bothered about him as a player so who knows?
I wouldn’t compare drink driving with a sex offence, i believe his night club fight was him being attacked and a head butt in training again so what. Besides all that the idea of us signing a player signed three or four years ago for £35million and on apparently £100k a week as one for the fairies. You were not bothered about Drinkwater's imbecilic behaviour either. In fact you said "so what?" - this is why I mentioned it. Hope that helps clarify things for you.

Prison sentence and acrimonious exit aside - king was a classy player for us. Wouldn’t have got relegated 12 months later if we’d have sent him a 3 year contract instead of a 2 year contract
think he had injuries because I’m sure he went to Sheffield united in the 3rd year. My point stands though - we’d have been far better with king up to instead of NimelyDidn't he end up back inside before that three year contract would have ended?
More like rise up as he is no where near good enoughI doubt he'd drop down to this level tbf.

It feels like some people either majorly overestimate the ability of some of our players or are completely detached from reality. He would be our best player by a distance if he was anywhere near fit
He is no where near better than HamerHe would be our best player by a distance if he was anywhere near fit
He is no where near better than Hamer
I don’t get why you think Drinkwater is so goodHow good do you think Hamer is exactly? He’s had about 10 decent games in the Championship. Drinkwater is on a different planet to him and most midfielders in the Championship if he’s fit
I don’t get why you think Drinkwater is so good
Fair enough thats your opinion and I don’t share it but I respect your opinionIt’s not that I think he’s so good, it’s that I think he would be the best player for a team battling to stay up in the Championship.
Obviously taking someone with the track record of Drinkwater is a big risk, is it a Stephen Hunt or Dennis Wise you get? What is not in dispute is that a focused motivated Drinkwater of the Leicester vintage is far better than anything we have. It’s not that I think he’s so good, it’s that I think he would be the best player for a team battling to stay up in the Championship.
So people who don't agree with you are detached from reality. He has hardly played first team football for about three years. His recent record suggests to me that he has little to offer. We have experience of bringing in players with Premier league experience in the past who turned out to be useless for us.It feels like some people either majorly overestimate the ability of some of our players or are completely detached from reality.
Maybe the detached from reality was a little harsh but when I maintain that there are a fair few who majorly overestimate the ability of our players and how much they'd command in transfer fees.So people who don't agree with you are detached from reality. I respect, however, that you feel he is still the player who won the Premier league with Leicester. You might be right but I don't agree.
But not rape.
You are forgetting the ex premier league players we signed of a similar vintage who turned out shit. Tim Sherwood. De zeeuw yakubu hunt etc. wise was an exception. We have no idea if drinkwater would be at that level but I suspect more of a Tim SherwoodMaybe the detached from reality was a little harsh but when I maintain that there are a fair few who majorly overestimate the ability of our players and how much they'd command in transfer fees.
I didn't say he was the same player he was when he won the league but if he was fully fit he would be one of the leading players for any team in the bottom half, and dare I say it, the whole league.
Go back to post 29, you will see the word “rape” was used by marcus and has been removed. No one said rape apart from you.
He was convicted of sexual assault though

Drinkwater is a lot younger than themYou are forgetting the ex premier league players we signed of a similar vintage who turned out shit. Tim Sherwood. De zeeuw yakubu hunt etc. wise was an exception. We have no idea if drinkwater would be at that level but I suspect more of a Tim Sherwood
Sherwood was 4 or 5 years older than what Drinkwater is now.You are forgetting the ex premier league players we signed of a similar vintage who turned out shit. Tim Sherwood. The notion that he’s not good enough to rise to the challenge of getting in our starting 11 is mind boggling.A match fit Danny Drinkwater walks into any championship team. The bloke won the premier league with bloody Leicester not too long ago, has represented Man Utd and Chelsea and has three caps for England. He’s 30 years old, not like he’s ancient. Some of you are so deluded it’s unreal
Sheaf is betterDanny Doesn't Drinkwater by the sounds of things.
Saying that, people doubting his ability are bonkers, was a regular in the side that won the fucking Premiership a few years ago.
Sheaf smiles moreSheaf is better
Delusion comes in many forms. Drinkwater was a very good player, far above our station and was highly thought of by many including the England coach and Ranieri. The 2016 version was at the top of his cycle, today he is seen as not worth the risk by Burnley, Villa and his own club Chelsea. To say he couldn’t get in to our team and improve it is plainly wrong, however I suspect the lustre has come off his play, his reputation and his motivation.A match fit Danny Drinkwater walks into any championship team.
