Im not sure what else he could say really, it's effectively saying there's no news and they'll update us when they can. It's very frustrating but ultimately we are barred from the Ricoh due to impossible demands being made and we are barred from building a new stadium because that's never going to happen under the current owners (and quite possibly under any new owners too).

Possibly trying to entice some of the first timers to St Andrews to come back for league games?

Not sure what “working hard” means - if only one party is prepared to talk what will ever change?
Dave Boddy - “Hi Nick any change on the Wasps stance regarding talks?”
Nick Eastwood - “No nothing - not heard from the EU and I can’t say any more due to Non Disclosure Agreement”
Dave Boddy - “Oh Ok”
Nick Eastwood - Alright see you then Dave”

Hard work my arse!

Sure they do want to return and it is a priority and something they are working on. However I still can't see past the issue of indemnity. Even if anyone actually believes there will be a new ground you could easily be looking at 5-10 years from the point at which the planning application is made.

That means the reality in the short to mid term is the Ricoh is the only option. And we know the indemnity is the problem there so get that resolved and then go from there.

Wasps need to figure out the indemnity
SISU need to sign a no further legals promise
A revenue agreement needs to happen.

Long term, we need our own stadium. Fuck co-ownership with a rugby team.
I dont think even co-ownership is on offer to be honest. Wasps seem happy to try and starve SISU out by distressing the club and i struggle to see what will change unless the EC complaint is dealt with in some way.

Just words? You're not buying cartloads of lottery tickets then?
Actually I've only ever bought one lottery ticket, and I won a tenner. So a poor metaphor from a personal point of view, but true in that all these words & reassurances mean nothing.

I'm not having a go at Boddy- apart from not really understanding the club he works for (didn't think there would be demand for Birmingham etc) he's one of the better recent ones we've had... although is that saying much.. at least he doesn't try and go in the dugout for games I guess.

He wasn’t alone. Clive and Stuart thought we’d sell no more than the league games. I also think he’s very good at continually acknowledging the support who attend and those that don’t. I’m pretty certain ccfc could have sold 15000 for the cup game

Easily. I didn't realise the other two said the same thing- totally finger off the pulse.

I’m also pretty sure that some well timed, accurate and encouraging information about moving back could easily result in crowds pushing 10k if we stay at the top

It'll be longer than that for a ground if they never think to start it.

I don’t want to read too much into it but I reckon Boddy is saying it remains as the top priority of the Club to return to Coventry at the earliest possible opportunity and they continue to work hard behind the scenes to achieve this.

Chinese guys putting up a 1000 bed hospital in 4 weeks come on!! Lol
I don't think the Chinese public have any say in matters which would require planning permission here.
In fact I doubt there's a process
It's a lot easier to get things done in a dictatorship.

If only we'd get to planning permission stage!

CCC will make sure that we dont have a new stadium as they dont want to be left with the White Elephant (RICOH) when the Insects fly off to another nest to infect.

Unless CCC offered to pay for it i wouldn't expect SISU to build one anyway, i can see us stuck in this hedgefund pissing contest for some time yet. Bunch of bastards.

spot on. 6 months down the line we have heard nothing about ccfc working with CCC to identify a site.

If they have been working hard, surely they have something to tell us ?. What are they doing tomorrow or today to get us back to Coventry. Working hard would surely indicate they have been working on this every day for last 6 months ?
