your friend hasn’t found us a pitch to play on you idiot
When?
That’s my issue the inaction and maybe mr was referring to it. Make a bloody decision.
We can’t play a number of games away from home and we can’t play our home games away from Coventry

What are people expecting Dave to do, pay for the pitch himself? Is SISU and Wasps aren’t going to pay wtf is he meant to do about it? He’s been instrumental in us being where we are, sacking him solves absolutely nothing.
Agreed. Need to know the plan though
10 days after the game called off we are now trying to swap the game to be away at Huddersfield next Saturday.
If they are speaking with wasps ccc efl sisu tell us. Are we expecting the pitch to be relayed are we demanding it???

How exactly has he been instrumental in us being where we are?

Well he’s instrumental in where we are now - no pitch to play on

Not here to bash Dave Boddy but unfortunately for him he is c.e.o. and he has to carry the can. It was known the arena was in the hands of CGW and must of known there were to be 60+ rugby games to be played when they were, I’m a forgiving person but should he be sacked ? not sure,

Rattling around League 1 in Northampton is worse. We aren't at that point...yet.

when is our next home game going to be played?

Well you’ve said Boddy is instrumental for being where we are - he isn’t - he’s a clown

So you think had say SISU employed another CEO instead of him, we would be in the Chanpionship, on the back of a top half finish, with a few top draw players, but we would be in a better position off the field? Bearing in mind who is above Dave?

There is a simple question that needs answering and that can only come from Dave Boddy, & that’s when will our home pitch be ready, he should know now. At the least an estimate will do.

I agree but I think it's too late. There're a ton of people who need apologies for a start but there's also the potentially fraudulent season ticket sales

So we ask, dont think we will bother now say London Wasps, what we gunna do ?
Its London Wasps lies not City fault.
Cmon tell me what we could do ?
Its not our ground its a pitch we ve paid to play on !

No I put the blame onto Wasps as owners but I’m just confused how it hasn’t been questioned from our club officials as to why it hasn’t happened during the summer to a)honour the agreement and b) to ensure this didn’t happen.

I mean, hindsight is a great thing but if no one thought we have no issues with the pitch after 64 rugby 7 games on is beyond me!

Where do you and @Grendel think this will go? Move way to try and distress wasps again?

I generally call these things wrong! Grendel will probably have more idea than me.
But I think Boddy was laying the ground work for a move away announcement.
Which as I've said, would surely be more costly than stumping up for the pitch?
As others have said, the costs could try and be retrieved through some other mechanism but at least we'd be playing our home games where they should be played.

100% this is all down to wasps as owners of the stadium with sole responsibility of maintaining the pitch and making sure it is in a fit state to meet is contractual obligations.

We wish you were

The anti Boddy stuff is so tedious

Who is we?

We must be the only football club that has become so punch drunk in the last 15 years fans can defend a CEO who admits he has no plan, no idea what’s going to happen and no prior knowledge he claims that the ground was not fit for purpose

He claimed he and Vaughan had a special relationship and bathed in the glory of sealing the return

Then he is as responsible for its failings. It’s nothing to do with Boddy you fool. He’s another of a long list of nodding dogs who do what they are told. It may as well have been Waggott sitting there blaming anyone and everything but who pays his wages and taking zero accountability

Thought so. Do you think there is a legitimate end game? As in wasps going bust or us getting a share of the ground? Or will we be still having the chat in 5 years

I don't know, this shit seems to be never ending.
With what's going on with wasps bonds and their financial situation you have to think something will give soon but who knows?

The think people defending this utter nonsense really need to ask themselves is - would this happen to any other club and would it have happened to us prior to Seppala

I think the answer is no

it's quite incredible that for all the years of tenancy agreements and F and B deals, leases, golden shares etc that its looks like it will be the state of the fucking pitch that rings it all crashing down.

No it isn’t there is blame there but not 100% we knew or should of when & what was due to played on that pitch, we knew our fixture list, someone at the club should have had the nous to find out what the pitch conditions were like. I think that is how the EFL will see it. Even at amateur level your home game has to be confirmed a week before or used to be.
