One for the older ones on here Harry Belafonte Singer and Films star .Went into Politics in later life.Has made his "Jamaica Fairwell"
Great man. Not much of a fan of calypso music but admire him as an artist and musician. Big fan of his film career and the importance of it. Played the first black male love interest in a mixed race relationship and America losts it shit. The romantic side of the relationship wasn’t even confirmed, just inferred but it was enough. In his final film he stole it with one scene and there was some great performances in Blackkklansman so that’s saying something. Also bankrolled an early film into the fledgling Hip Hop movement which helped it grow. Really important and pivotal person in the world of culture and a true trailblazer.

As I posted previously, I was listening to The Seekers for a few days before I heard that Judith Durham had died.

I've also been listening to Harry Belafonte for the past few weeks.

I'd be really worried right now if I was Bob Dylan!
Sounds like he could be Knockin' On Heaven's Door.

Reminds me of OFaH when Rodney and Grandad are arguing over whether it's pronounced Potter or Poitier and Del Boy tells them it's Harry Belafonte

Don't dare even think about it! Bob is God! 😉

I always predict Mel Brooks, but considering he has just made History of the World Part II at the age of 96, I may have to have a rethink
