Why nobody trusts mainstream media

Migrant deaths just over the border in the US have been rising since the mid-1990s and especially during the Obama administration. So in 1996, there were at least 87 deaths of migrants within the US border. In 2012, the year Obama was re-elected, to the whoops and cheers of liberals across the West, there were at least 463. In total, 7,216 people died crossing the US-Mexico border between 1998 and 2017. Where were the frontpage headlines? Why weren’t there massive marches when Obama visited London? Why was there no talk of ‘America’s shame’ or ‘America’s concentration camps’?

I think trump is an absolute wanker but I don't buy this narrative about Obama. Let's be honest, the last 5 or 6 POTUS have been psychopaths.

Any criticsm of Obama would have meant losing the black vote. Virtually every black person in the USA voted for Obama and in their eyes he was going to be the greatest President ever and solve all their problems. Of course as it turned out Obama had much more in common with the white voter than the black voter. His term was a disaster for black people. Trump has done much more for them but will get no thanks.

Spoke with no tact at all to that young Yazidi girl whose family had been killed by ISIS.
That's in the last week FFS.
And dorru, but finding taking the piss out of someone who is handicapped appalling, or any of the other things I've mentioned isn't being over sensitive and I don't want to live in a society where it is considered to be so.

I think part the problem is that Obama was a bogey man for the right and so certain sections of the left cheered him on regardless of what he did and didn't really look to much at his actual actions.

I think we've got a vice versa situation now with Trump, both are poor leaders in my opinion.

So let's look at the alternative, a man who said hurty words or a women who helped enable ISIS, a women that was happy to cover up the deaths of US soldiers in benghazi, a women who was happy to destroy a young girl her husband had sexual relations with just to keep the campaign money coming in.
Reality is, trump speaks to normal Americans in a way career politicians simply can't.. Which is why he won.. The USA is doing well, which barely ever gets reported on
