No beer for me had the jab this morning have to refrain for 2 weeksFirst beer being opened at 2.55pm. Nerves have started already.
The scarier thing is that Robins feels that with the personnel he has available, this is the side most likely to score goals.I was all for 1 up top last season but think we're better with 2 this time around.
It isn't a binary, sometimes you need to adjust what is better based on circumstances.
We are no longer in league one. Hope this helps.
If it was just goals we needed to care about we'd play 6 upfrontThe scarier thing is that Robins feels that with the personnel he has available, this is the side most likely to score goals.
That isn't a dig at Robins btw, he may well be right!
Kelly Roos, ex Nuneaton keeper?? really need to get some shots in against him surely

Well if Roos is to stopping goals what Biamou is to scoring them...Max Biamou, ex Sutton United striker??
You what ??? You can't drink after the jab ?????No beer for me had the jab this morning have to refrain for 2 weeks
I've never understood how 2 up automatically makes you more likely to win, or even attack tbh..
Your just as likely to spend longer off the ball with less players in midfield
2 up has been very Indifferent for us, seems a totally circumstantial formation for us
I didn't know that EitherYou what ??? You can't drink after the jab ?????
I sense another waveYou what ??? You can't drink after the jab ?????
I'm not hopeful but at some point every player has a banger... Hoping his comes todayFor weeks now Biamou has shown himself incapable of retaining possession when the ball is played up to him and laying it off. Time and again he turns into trouble, the move breaks down and any chance of building sustained pressure is gone.
I’ve said before that I fully accept he’s playing above his level in this division and that’s a comment that can be applied to several in our team. However, expecting a big strong striker to be able to retain possession and lay the ball off is the most basic of skills for a professional forward.
He HAS to do it today, playing as a lone striker.
We need one or his rare solid performances today luckily we have Godden & walker on the benchFor weeks now Biamou has shown himself incapable of retaining possession when the ball is played up to him and laying it off. Totally agree but with a lone striker its up to the midfielders and wing backs to give him an outlet and more often than not the lone striker gets isolatedFor weeks now Biamou has shown himself incapable of retaining possession when the ball is played up to him and laying it off. It depends, but it's incredibly naive to just plough on the way we played last season cos it worked against the like of Southend, especially when we are without our best forward.Right. So now we've gone up a division, playing against better teams, you want us to have less bodies in midfield?
It's just as naive to think 2 up = goals and winsIt depends, but it's incredibly naive to just plough on the way we played last season cos it worked against the like of Southend, especially when we are without our best forward.
flipping heck they kept that quietYou what ??? You can't drink after the jab ?????
Not keen?

Agree with that, today I think 2 up would give us a better chance. If the one up was a fit Godden then fair enough. Horses for courses. Today I'd go 2 up. HOPE TAE FUCK THAT I'M WRONG.It's just as naive to think 2 up = goals and wins
Ultimately 1 up 2 up... If the balance isn't there during the match you're fucked either wayAgree with that, today I think 2 up would give us a better chance. If the one up was a fit Godden then fair enough. Horses for courses. Today I'd go 2 up. HOPE TAE FUCK THAT I'M WRONG.
Definitely ca be but as mentioned on the forum earlier for that to be the case we need our midfielders to push on past the striker and we just don't have that in the squad at the moment.Of course, I agree, but that's not my point.
My point is that 1 up front can be just as attacking and just as attacking as 2 up front.
Of course it can, just personnel wise I'd go with 2 today. Glad we got there in the end.Of course, I agree, but that's not my point.

Looks like he'll be getting a new deal.Such a big ask on Biamou. Shows how much robins trusts him or how the other strikers are struggling or lacking in fitness
At no point in the process will anyone tell you not to drink after it. Some medical types have advised that alcohol isn’t good for the immune system, so if you want to maximise the vaccine’s effect it is recommended you abstain for a bit...I didn't know that Either
I think the argument is that are players are shit now comparatively to the rest of the league, so instead of trying to play through the midfield and break down defences we should stick 2 up front and play direct football into the front men and channels, bypass the midfield and have the midfielders trying to pick up the knockdowns/make late runs to support the front men.Right. So now we've gone up a division, playing against better teams, you want us to have less bodies in midfield?
