Did he jump or was he pushed? (1 Viewer)

Clouting is going after 7 months as Chief Exec.

Onye Igwe transferring funds out of SISU to a private trust based in Guernsey according to the net news.(presumably for tax reasons rather than getting ready for Carlos Tevez loan spell!)

There is no transparency around ownership - Does Leonard Brody hold 20% of ccfc shares?

http://www.guardian.co.uk/football/2011/sep/27/coventry-city-ownership-football-league

So, are sisu getting ready for administration?

Will we see Clouting replaced?

Will there be any announcement from ccfc Board on any of these topics?

I think Clouting jumped!

Somethings afoot, that's for sure. Has there been any official confirmation from the club that Clouting has gone? I'm not doubting it, just that they kinda denied all knowledge of it to CWR yesterday. Yet they managed to get AT's statement about how he wouldn't quit out in no time.

I wonder if we are reading too much into Cloutings departure - maybe it was more to do with the aborted attempt to bring in the commercial director who was his friend and lasted 24 hours before irregularities surfaced - was he trying to pull a fast one and other board members sussed it out?

Clouting was asked from the floor at that forum at Kenilworth " If Hoffman offered you a job will you help to get rid of SISU" I wonder......

But then why no comment from the club?

Indeed. The table is so big now in the boardroom that it takes 25 minutes just to read the register out.

is this another bout of smoke & mirrors from our ?owners?
what do our board / or did clouting achieve ?
why has the 'orange' not commented ?
have we had an open statement from OI ?
where are the 'loan players' ?
what about the securing of a 'franchise player' ?
how many passenger board members are there ?
how much is their remuneration ?
will any of these questions ever be answered ?

How dare you? Did you not hear Iggy Wiggy say that there were lots of positive actions taken behind the scenes and that they were going to communicate those to the fans. He admitted that communication had been poor in the past and that it would be better in the future. And true to his word, Iggy has given us all the information we need regarding loan players, Clouting's departure, the departure of other executives at the club, etc? I really fail to see how anyone can blame the owners SISU or Iggy Wiggy.

*Only joking mate. If you can't laugh it is enough to make one cry.*

Think when the board said there would be a more open policy in future I think they were talking about the door marked 'way out.' Think that door is fully open and has a big neon sign with an arrow over it.

I would like to think he was pushed.
Clouting was CEO and therefor the link between the board and the rest of the organisation and the fans.
He has done a very poor job in regard to handling the protests and the whole 'banner-gate' debacle. Add to that the joke of a fans forum meeting and you have more than enough to suggest he is not the man for the job.

I think he will be replaced as the club need an executive in the office every day and that rules out Ken as combined chairman and CEO.

It'd most likely take a while to get through all the legal formalities. If it were to happen I just pray it happens before the January window shuts. Giving us a fighting chance of saving our season.

Still no official annoucement. This was on twitter by one of the cet guys:

Still waiting for the Coventry City statement on Paul Clouting's departure. He resigned five - yes five - days ago. #PUSB #ccfc #skyblues

So he resigned on monday and yet still the club have decided not to tell us anything?

When orange Ken took over he apologised for the time it took to announce that Ranson had left, will he be apologising again?

It's not unusual when a Director leaves a company for there to be a delay in the company's PR while the respective solicitors agree a mutually acceptable form of words (that always end up saying nothing), but in this case:
1. The company in question is a football club and so attracts a disproportionate amount of media attention
2. It is common knowledge that Clouting has left
so could they not at least put out a holding statement saying that he's gone and that a full statement (oh yeah!!) will be made in due course.

The current position is really getting rather embarrassing.

So much for the new open approach to communication.

I am told it is also SISU normal way of doing things to throw lawyers letters around like confetti. So they may be settlements to be ironed out. To be expected with a director
Just frustrating and mire money and time wasted whiich could have been spent on the team

So Cloutings Gone, well who gives a stuff, who was he?, what did he do? are we gob smacked ? another faceless, drain on the clubs budget,Just another bloke in a suit, through the door instead of a player, makes a change doesn't it.

Problem is Tankie, when a suit leaves they always almost immediately replace them. Oh how I wish it were so with players :blue:

Is there anyone left at the club day to day running operations?

Now Clouting has gone... anyone left in the country on CCFC management board?

Now please forgive me but i love a conspiracy theory,is it a mere coincidence that the CEO @ cardiff went 3-4 days before him ,when ranson lent them money before he left, and we subsequently allow two of our brightest young players to go in that direction for way below percieved valuations

He jumped. He had a good track record at Derby and Ipswich. The job description here was not what it said on the tin.

There are 3 rumours doing the rounds:

a) Clouting left because of imminent investment

b) Clouting left because of legacy issues concerning his employment in the past.

c) Clouting left because his job had become untenable.

I would suggest that if Sillett suddenly becomes more proactive at the club, then c) was the likely reason
