In what way ?

We've gone from being a circus of a football club, to a respected one after many years of embarrassment, and we're on the verge of going back to the former again.

Director's of football, Frank Lampard, Etc etc. It's all a complete shit show.

If Doug King appointed Sky Blue Sam as assistant manager next week I would barely blink.

And the shit show would have just got worse if things had stayed the same.
We were regressing under Robins and his assistants and there was no evidence that he had the capability to halt the slide.
I'm sad that his reign ended in the way it has.

Some people have very short memories.

In his over 7 years with us we always finished higher in the league than the season before until his last full season with us. There was only one way better than losing the playoff final on penalties. And last season we were just a toenail away from beating Manchester United in the FA cup semi final. It would only have been our second FA cup Final in our history. The extra games took their toll.

This season it was well known we were light in midfield. On top of that Sheaf was missing through injury. Our results were markedly better once Sheaf was getting back to fitness.

Look at how many times people called for Robins to go just to see him turn things around. Look at how many players were deemed not to be good enough yet were brought together to continue our climb up the football league.

I have come to terms with losing Robins but I still don't agree with it. I will reserve judgement until I see what happens next. We have as much chance of pushing on in our quest of reaching the Prem as we do of going backwards. And it won't be easy.

King admits that he doesn't know much about football. So does he take a lucky dip or take advice from others? Hopefully he doesn't take advice from here as nearly everyone mentioned are both good and bad choices and this is from people who have spent all their lives watching football.

Much rather Round looking at his CV. And Austin’s record here which hasn’t been great.
Austin’s record is nowhere near as bad as it gets made out to be. Prior to him coming him he regularly signed first team players on long term deals who never played more than a few games.
