its definitely not like that. walking up at the weekend noticed how shabby the roof looked with the outline of Ricoh still up there. Place needs a real good clean. The whole exterior is shabby. Landscaping and paths need a bit of work as well.

Sure it must be lined up. Would be odd to spend money doing the ground up but then leave people with a poor first impression.

This YouTube Drone video still would appear to confirm what's been said about the faded Ricoh sign on top of the arena hall.

Still maintain that the stadium isn't fulfilling it's potential. The owners will have to be careful not to fall behind the new Birmingham stadium and the Villa refurbishment.

We've had a decent number of big events in the past 15 years. None of them will continue ahead of the two stadiums above.

Its going to be incredibly hard to attract stadium shows when there's a viable stadium venue in Birmingham. Why would anyone pick Cov given the difference in population size in the two cities.

Even Brum struggles to get many shows as London - Manchester is increasingly the norm.

To get shows they're probably going to have to pay over the odds to get the days acts have left to fill in, suspect this is what they've done in the past tbh. Problem is when you do that anything below a sell out risks losing money.

As much as I love having big shows here I'd much rather they spent the summers making sure the pitch is in the best condition possible.

I think the CBS will continue to attract concerts in the summer season as Villa Park has a stricter licence for outdoor events due to the proximity of housing in the area, I know that has been an issue for them with Birmingham City Council. Also, the CBS is far cheaper to hire for a promoter than Villa Park.

The new Birmingham City stadium is many many years away and still hasn't fully got the green light.

… the Birmingham stadium also probably won’t happen! 😂

Wouldn't it be funny if they played the CBS for a year or 2 while their new ground is built. 😉
Birmingham have bought a 48 acre site for a new stadium and integrated training facilities in East Birmingham, so that isn't going to happen.

I believe the Wheels Park and Kart track is the site they acquired.

id welcome them to be fair, what they did for us (and northampton too) i wont forget.
Why? We did them a favour just as much as they did us. If it wasn’t Brum we’d have paid much less to play elsewhere.

They’re one of the most entitled and delusional fan bases who constantly go on about how they ‘saved us’, conveniently forgetting that they were absolutely skint and we paid huge amounts for use of a ground that was falling down and a pitch fit for potato’s.
