No I get it but at 18 in a squad of let downs he was one of the more solid performers .
Let's face it it's his size that's going to hold him back IMO .
But I think someone will give him a go maybe league 2or under .
I think his tenacity will pull him through.
I also think he could convert to a Lloyd Mcgrath role, he has the heart for it.
Anyhow he's gone good luck to him.

To be quite honest, Wingy, it's only his size holding him back.

It's a shame, as I think Dion is a very decent player, but he does get targeted for his height and as a defender that also makes him a bit redundant for headers at corners.

I think he may make a reasonably decent living, but maybe at Conference standard (National League?).

I don't think Devon is good enough and is more likely to play at a lower level than Dion.

Comes down to them not quite being at the level Robins thinks L1 requires.
Can't question their commitment or loyalty when they've been involved.
Let's remember the arguments some of have put on here for the next time a "more successful" academy graduate moves up the leagues to improve their career. If club can do what's best for the club, individual players can do the same for their careers.
So good luck to the pair of them - hopefully can prove people wrong and have successful careers elsewhere.
Football has become more of a business and decisions have to be made on that basis. The irony is that as more money has become involved it has become a far worse managed business by supposedly more professional executives - never the debt levels or financial gambling before TV money went crazy.

As I said in the Civic reception thread both have been released for some time, hopefully this has given them enough time to get something in place for future either on a football pitch or off it. GL
