Do CCFC (not SISU) care about season ticket sales ? (2 Viewers)

No I haven't suggested supporters chose a stadium,. What I have suggested that it might be in the club's interest to gauge out of, let's say, a final choice of Burton and MK Scum whether there is an overwhelming thumbs up for one over the other. All other costs being equal, why would they chose the one no one wants to go to ?
There is a core of fans that will go anywhere within reason and they will be basing forecasts on that.

There was a vote for the EFL which could have had a major effect on our future and if I'm right there were only 1600 votes (and 3 of those were mine).

An open survey would be hijacked by people that don't even go to the Ricoh now and if you just used season ticket holders you would need a big win for any option to be statistically significant.

I can't imagine there's a huge number of fans who would go to Burton but not MK or vice versa. You don't need market research to tell you the closer the ground is, and easier to get to, the more people will go.

The main consensus of opinion seems to be that season tickets really count for nothing . I thought that they counted for a lot in the lower leagues but clearly I'm wrong.

It will affect cash flow, SISU might have to advance the club money over the summer.

Firstly, why should the club do market research on whether fans would go watch CCFC outside of Coventry if they have no choice but to play outside Coventry? It's like asking a Turkey if they would mind being put on a plate at Christmas!
Secondly, how can you give season ticket holders a choice or say on venue if you don't yet know which venues are available(i.e. with final terms agreed)?

Firstly, who suggested the club do research on whether fans would travel outwith Cov to watch the team?
Secondly, who suggested fans should get a say on where we end up?

I'm a season ticket holder. There has at least been a survey on this site as to whether supporters will go / not go/ renew season tickets next season should we leave Coventry. I've not heard from the club. They could have asked me what has been asked on here . Surely they could have gained the mood of the supporters and the financial implications from that to submit to SISU.

What I have suggested that it might be in the club's interest to gauge out of, let's say, a final choice of Burton and MK Scum whether there is an overwhelming thumbs up for one over the other.

Thanks buzzard. I never suggested the fans have a vote which determines where we play, nor a free for all allowing anyone to vote, including fans of Sunderland or Aston villa . That's ludicrous.
At the end of the day though season ticket holders put in a lot of money. If they are ignored then perhaps they're not worth much.

I get what you're saying and it would be nice if the club bothered to seek season ticket holders / members etc opinions - but the reality is (or appears to be at least ) that whether you say yes or no to watching us outside of Coventry, we will have to play elsewhere next season regardless, so asking you makes no difference whatsoever.

No problem. Just thought it was strange that your point was missed completely by some.
