Do we miss McFadzean? (1 Viewer)

Simple question, do we miss and experienced head in our defence like McFadzean? was it right to let him go? he was a big character and may have brought valuable experience to our younger defenders whether on the pitch or as a sub.

Admittedly he could not be playing 46 games a season but how valuable would he have been had he stayed.

On balance no. 9 times from 10 we win that 4/5 - 0. Them scoring two freaky goals from three or four attacks is not a major worry.

No we don't miss Fadz, we wouldn't be able to play a back 4 with him.

What did do was fail to bring in players to improve our back defence, which was always a vulnerability last season.

Not in a back 4

Thomas benched was wierd

robins love affair with lati is wierd, good pro but so limited

kitching is a wierd player, the Cardiff game everybody is struggling to forget

We miss a player LIKE Fadz. Experienced, can talk the back 4 around a game. And knows the dark arts.

Bizarre take. Well past it at the level we want to be at, would be a waste of wages and wasn’t even good playing in a 4atb. I do agree we need an experienced head in the mix that can easily start. Worrall
I agree the concern would be that Dean Austin has spent 6 million on league 1 talent and we really need one of Thomas or Kitching to really step up this season.

Can see it taking a few weeks for the back 5 to gel.

Do we ?
I couldn't give a flying fuck who partners who at centre back as long as we're winning .
And I'm certainly not going to look for scoring internet points using price tags to make a daft opinion more valid

It’s crazy the one area of the team with no players in or out is the one that looks furthest off being settled.

We looked at times if you score 3 we'll score 4 . It can work (very Kevin Keegan) but not sure it's us. The defence needs sorting out quickly

Let’s put this to bed please.

We all saw his deficiencies during the playoff final.

Bullied by a more mobile attacking force and looked way out of his depth. (Same could be said of McNally too)

Robins saw that battering and brought in a pacier more mobile, stronger defensive unit.

So please no more 37 year olds playing top half championship football.
