In the close season of 83/84 we got rid of about 10 players, thats including Garry Thompson who left just before the end of that season, difference was Bobby Gould was allowed to bring in replacements. SISU don't seem to grasp if you sell players they normally need replacing. We needed atleast 4 players when the season ended since then around 7 have are left or intend to, to me that makes a need for 11 newcommers, to compete.
11
Really ?
I hoenstly believe we are 2 away, if we dont sell anyone else
11 would mean we have a squad of 35 or so
---------------Murphy----------------
Clarke-----Keogh---Wood----Hussey
Fleck------Deegan----NEWBY--Sheff
----------NEWBY-------Cody-----------
With a back up team of
---------------Dunn---------------------
Christie---Wilis----Cameron-----Kilbane
Christie injured til december, Hussey injury prone, sheff aswell, dunno how many games kilbane will be able to play. Plus if others got injured
Amazing just how many naysayers are suddenly now such SISU fans, isn't it? Based on what I'm not too sure. This leopard will never change it's spots, it simply isn't CAPABLE of it!
So far we have lost
Cranie
Mcpake
Clingan
Norwood
Nimely
Likely to lose
Bigi
Keogh
So we have had 7 players out, and have brought in 3.
They may still bring in more, but for now it appears to be same old Sisu to me.
Actually they can because the player sales net of player purchases is taken into account for the calculation to set the wage budget.
" a decent squad FOR THIS DIVISION you say. I think you are seriously underestimating this division. In recent seasons we have seen Southampton, Norwich, Swansea and Blackpool come out of Div. 1 and sail through the championship straight imto the Prem. That indicates to me perhaps it's the championship which we consistantly struggled with that is a bit easier.agree with that, but i have to say we are League One..
If we were premierhsip we would need the cover, but with 2 decent additions and no more sales, we would have a decent squad for this division

Imminently I believe !!well, Hoff will save us, hey Prince :wave::wave:
However bigi's wages did not count towards FFP. Whereas if they do replace him that players wages will
I thought you'd turned pro shitsu cos we had signed 3 players?
Imminently I believe !!
I 's to be dotted, T's to be crossed but there's a lot of them.got a date for that Prince ?

It will never be an ideal but it is better than what we had.
