Yes, particularly it's been said that Rotherham are a much better team than us by some . I could never understand this, and I doubt they have had the amount of long term injuries to key players we have had.
They have as probably Sheffield Wednesday do too but what Rotherham have is some stability and not changing their manager every season, sometimes 2 or 3 times for some of them, and an injection of 10-15 new players each time. I hope Rotherham stay up and Derby go down as they are all that is wrong with the championship and by getting into massive debt chasing the PL dream. I don't know how Derby and Forest were not docked points like Sheffield Wednesday were and if the rumours are true and Rooney was paid by Bet365 surely that was a breach of player ownership.
One thing I've not been guilty of this season is over rating Rotherham. They're not all that, we were better than them last year and it doesn't look like they've improved much.
I think Wycombe are the team that deserve the most credit of the, soon to be, relegated three. They had absolutely no hope, properly battled and got some very good results. Wednesday, despite their deduction, have been a shambles. The money they pay players should have had them well clear. Only 6 points off in the end, when we started -10 we very nearly made a playoff push.
19th best away record in the league with the following teams to play; Barnsley, Brentford, Cardiff and Luton. The former two both have excellent home records.
Rotherham really bottled it against Wycombe, ourselves and Birmingham. Taking 0 points from those 3 games has sealed their fate.
We’ve got the 10th best home record with PNE and Millwall to play. We ought to pick up a point.
Wycombe can't catch us. Wednesday can't catch us and Rotherham would have to win 4 out of their remaining 5 just to reach the 51 points we are already on.
Everyone, take a deep breath. You can stop being paranoid about Rotherham and Derby all of a sudden winning all their games.
No coincidence we're a better side with Godden and Walker back to some form of fitness. They score good goals, make positive runs and games open up with their threat.
