Genuinely surprised at the pessimism on here. You're about to get the government you want with effectively no opposition. It's likely they will govern for at least a decade.
Why are you not looking forward with unbridled optimism?
Is it because you know that socialism wont significantly improve your life?
I qualified as a referee in my teens and did 3-4 games a weekend to make a contribution.I refused to go to Bablake when I passed my 11 plus. You must have had a good job at 11 to contribute
And even they don't believe that it will be anything like socialism. The thing is Ernie, nobody except shmmeee and PVA are getting the government they really want.
And even they don't believe that it will be anything like socialism.
Also most people on here want a social democracy ie a mix of socialist and capitalist policies. The government in my view should be in charge of healthcare, education, policing, the military etc. I don’t need it to run KFC.And even they don't believe that it will be anything like socialism.

They're not promising socialism. Somebody of your age is the beneficiary of the UK's mild socialism of the early post war period, as are Malc and Grendel.Genuinely surprised at the pessimism on here. You mean this Labour Govt wont be left enough for you ?The thing is Ernie, nobody except shmmeee and PVA are getting the government they really want.
Would rather have the colonel than Sunak tbfKFC has gone significantly downhill in recent years though. Fuck the Tories!
And even they don't believe that it will be anything like socialism.
Correct. You mean this Labour Govt wont be left enough for you ?
PVA just votes for who someone tells him to - he is devoid of capable thought
Correct.
Like 52% of the electorate in 2016 I guess, you included.
Seriously you think Starmer is left wing? You mean this Labour Govt wont be left enough for you ?
If they paid as much tax as I did, they would also be alright, Jack.People work hard today and pay tax the same as you did, you doing unpaid work is not virtuous and you're hardly unique in that
I paid tax alongside paying back the £9,000 I was charged to become a teacher. If they paid as much tax as I did, they would also be alright, Jack.

He will be weak, and I’m not convinced he will last more than one term.Starmer I believe will be a very weak leader, capitulating easily to pressure within the party. Most of that pressure will come from the left. I'd expect the govt to drift further left fairly quickly.
Oh dear HertsSeriously you think Starmer is left wing?
Salty
Tuition fees - introduced by Labour.I paid tax alongside paying back the £9,000 I was charged to become a teacher.
Correct. And then raised by both parties.Tuition fees - introduced by Labour.
A matter of opinion.Well yes obviously I am salty about people actively voting to make the country worse (mostly for ridiculous/made up reasons).
A matter of opinion.
And that is part of the problem, once one party has a wizard wheeze like tuition fees, and encouraging everybody to go in to HE, they are more likely to be increased than not. Student accommodation 8 big bus8ness now, and 7ni chancellors earn a fortune. Universities Are businesses soon, are they VAT exempt?Correct. And then raised by both parties.
The difference is in also charging fees to train teachers and nurses we are detracting people from training in professions where we’re struggling for staff. So we end up needing to recruit from abroad but then certain people complain about immigration so…And that is part of the problem, once one party has a wizard wheeze like tuition fees, and encouraging everybody to go in to HE, they are more likely to be increased than not. Making courses such a as that exempt from tuition fees would be a great idea. The difference is in also charging fees to train teachers and nurses we are detracting people from training in professions where we’re struggling for staff. Fully agree.Making courses such a as that exempt from tuition fees would be a great idea.
Well it's not opinion, it's factual.
I'm not doing another Brexit argument, it's been done to death. It was a ridiculous act of self harm just because Nigel told you to.
