its funny how dismissive you were about the “right” share of the vote in France. It looks like Labour will have a massive majority with only about the same percentage share. Labour clearly didn’t win the argument but have managed to win the election.The "right" only got about 33% in France and their "massive gains" in Germany saw them them get half the votes of the CDU. While Meloni in Italy only got 20 something % of the vote and The Scandi far right parties crumbled.

Labour have hardly a greater share of the vote than last time - when they suffered a heavy defeat. Hardly a ringing endorsement of their policies, is it. They will have to play their cards very carefully despite having a huge majority, many of their gains would easily be reversed.Reform have a lot to thank the Tories for.

Possibly even unifying the two parties.Having just woken up to these results my thoughts are actually to be pretty concerned at how many votes Snake Oil UK has gained on a single issue with a single charlatan leading the charge. Combined with a drop in turnout basically everywhere and Labour’s vote share not changing substantially, there’s a serious job for them to do if they want a second term.
The destruction of the SNP however is a thing of beauty and hopefully is repeated in the Holyrood elections.
If the Reform vote was largely a protest vote by usual Tory voters, Reform policies were probably of little interest this time and will be even less so next time. It really depends on how mad they go. Unifying the parties would be a long shot but I wouldn’t be surprised to see him ending up as leader, which I think is his long game.Currently 11/1.
Can't see them uniting, don't think the tories, who will be trying to rebuild their reputation for fiscal responsibility can align themselves with a manifesto which would be one of the greatest give aways in history with (currently) no explanation of how it will be paid for.
If you don't think there's a difference between the parties, or they're all frauds then why are you on here seemingly cheerleading for Reform?
The people who voted for Brexit didn't really have a clue what they were voting for; they either bought a grand lie, or wanted to give "the establishment" a poke in the eye, or didn't like immigrants.
The same sort of people are voting for Reform for the same 'reasons', with a bit of racism added into the mix. It's not something to celebrate, imho.
If the Tories want to get back in they either have to make him go away or unite with him. Either way, Starmer only got 35% of the vote in England.
