Have people the memory of a goldfish?
The same conservative commentators who were defending the government over the Cummings affair in May 2020 are now using it in a list to attack the government.
The same Tories who have defended Johnson for years when he has behaved in exactly the same way now want to sack him.
They are all culpable and if the electorate forget then the whole cycle continues.

It's what they've always relied on. Even though it doesn't take much to see that there are so many of them that are part of the problem, if they treat it like a Presidency so that everything is linked to the individual when it goes wrong you can get rid of them and the slate is somehow wiped clean for many and the party can retain power under a new leader, even though that person was probably heavily involved with the shit that got the previous person ousted.

Part of the argument for limiting the number of terms someone can be incumbent. Forces you to take the accountability as a party because if you put all your goodwill against one individual it'll only last as long as that person in office. Many ways around it of course - they could resign the position with six months/year left and so you can transfer the goodwill to the new leader between then and the election.

Claims he was only there for 25 mins and didn't realise it was a party.

Silly fat wanker has no shame.

Starmer called him a 'pathetic spectacle of a man'.

Starmer being incredibly generous refering to that waste of resources as a man.

Again, why were they not fussed that they might get COVID and die while they were trying to get the whole country scared of it?

Is it distracting from the "Government’s use of system to award deals to two firms during first Covid wave found to be unlawful"?

Because these pricks think they are untouchable.

The PM bragged and joked about shaking everyone's hand and then literally nearly died from it.

This is now a bigger story than what Boris done and his resignation. It’s now about the morals of the Tory party as a whole. He’s clearly unfit for office surely even they can’t continue to deny that. He hasn’t got the moral substance to resign so it’s up to them to remove him. Letters of no confidence should have started going in from MP’s the minute PMQ’s ended. A failure to do that is a reflection on the Conservative moral compass as a whole.

Because we have a government incapable of learning lessons from their mistakes, full of the type of right wing nutters who think it’s made up, the flu etc. ( just look at their reluctance to do something as simple as wearing a mask in a packed impossible to socially distance place as the House of Commons) and they think that it’s no rules for them rules for the plebs because they’re untouchable.

You’ve not stumbled over some magical conspiracy theory here Nick. They’re just a bunch of self serving idiots.

The idea that this party scandal is intended as a distraction from something else would be like trying to distract from your own fart by loudly and publicly shitting yourself instead.

I haven't said I have.

You will find from the start I have also said that all of them are cunts in it for themselves.

If Johnson goes can we expect THE main question at the next GE to be,
"Can you guarantee that your leader will serve a full term if elected?"
This would be the third consecutive time the Tories have changed leader / PM once elected.
Cameron 2015 GE, resigned 2016
May 2017 GE, resigned 2019
Johnson 2019 GE, ousted 2022?

Of course Labour did it previously too so reasonably they could expect the same question.

Lads come on now, you know no one cares about parties.

To be fair, this is very different (in my eyes anyway) to junior ministers/civil servants who’ve been working together all day staying for after work drinks last Xmas. This was during first lockdown when you weren’t even allowed to meet with more than one person outside, let alone have someone round your house (a disgraceful and totally unnecessary rule but one which nearly everyone followed). The invite was from PMs private Secretary, in the PMs garden and most importantly, he attended thereby personally breaking the rules he’s made up…and then subsequently saying no rules were breached.

Cummings slow leak has worked a treat. Johnson must’ve known this was coming yet has dug himself even deeper

Seems to be getting worse by the hour. Looks like people who didn’t work at Downing Street travelled their to attend

You know there’s still more to come as well.

If you defend a contemptible liar, who you know is a contemptible liar, and parrot his feeble justifications - what does that make you?
I shall expect all those that do to resign when he eventually goes.
