No it was an event - it was a perfectly legal gathering. The MP as well I like. He did have a similar attitude to the rules
In the height of lockdown 1 I broke said rules pretty much every day
But who is talking about him keep it current
How do we know as some people actually believe his lies
Well that’s also ridiculous as you have to look at context. If it was phrased correctly it’s not really libellous - the only person who stepped over the line was cakey SDP man
What Johnson said didn’t ruin people’s lives and although it was pretty stupid and ridiculous it really impacted no one
Not what a lawyer said today he has challenged Johnson to say it out of parliament.
doesn’t matter how is phrased it was a lie
What Johnson said didn’t ruin people’s lives and although it was pretty stupid and ridiculous it really impacted no one
Well was Sir Keir Starmer head of the CPS when it was decided not to prosecute Saville - yes he was
People defend anything if they back tbe cause. The denials that Corbyn and McDonnell were active supoorters of the Irish Republican Army being a case on point
How did he step over the line? He called him a liar. He's been proven to be a liar.Well that’s also ridiculous as you have to look at context. If it was phrased correctly it’s not really libellous - the only person who stepped over the line was cakey SDP man
Starmer had nothing to do with the decision. It’s like saying Johnson failed to prosecute Saville. Or you did.
How did he step over the line? He called him a liar. He's been proven to be a liar.
So are you suggesting that everyone who has been fined for breaking lockdown rules should be compensated? What Johnson said didn’t ruin people’s lives and although it was pretty stupid and ridiculous it really impacted no one
And do you not think that's a ridiculous state of affairs? That someone in the house can make any suggestion they like about anyone else and that's fine under 'parliamentary privilege', but to call a member of that house a liar isn't fine, even when it has been demonstrably proven many times that's exactly what he is?That’s a breach of parliamentary rules
The stuff about Starmer and Saville really is the dregs of the barrel and sums up Johnson perfectly.Well was Sir Keir Starmer head of the CPS when it was decided not to prosecute Saville - yes he was

He only broke them in a limited and specific way though so…That’s a breach of parliamentary rules
There was something to this end on LBC this morning…. The minutiae gets lost in all the noise and they just hear those two words.Got what he wanted, which is everyone saying Starmer and Saville in the same sentence over and over.
Of course it is - there is no depth to the lies the people in power will tell to maintain it.The stuff about Starmer and Saville really is the dregs of the barrel and sums up Johnson perfectly.

Been tuning in and out of LBC all day and the thing I was struck by was the number of callers who consider themselves traditional Tories having voted Tory for decades (some even party members) saying that they’re essentially Tories without a party and most of them also saying that they didn’t vote in the 2019 GE as they couldn’t bring themselves to vote for Boris or the party he’s turned the Tories into. Never really thought of that before.
So Johnson won’t retract his lies against Starmer from yesterday, let’s see if he will say it outside of parliament without his privilege.
Absolute waste of space Hoyle is
That’s what happens when you move a broad church party off to the fringes.
I wish someone would up their game, not necessarily Labour. Just any credible alternative.Labour still need to up their game if they are going to get in at the next election.
No different to Republicans put off by Trump, they exist but as a group I imagine Tory voters are generally more loyal to the party or candidate.
