4 biggest energy companies come together to say that the government should be doing more to help people with their bills.
You know it’s bad when the greedy energy companies are saying that the government aren’t doing enough.
Cream of societyWatching it as well. How the hell did these people make MPs?
Anyone checked the fridgeSupposed to be in the house at 4:30 making a statement but he’s not turned up
Absolutely brilliant from Starmer. Tore Johnson and his acolytes a new one.
Imagine looking at those two performances and thinking 'yeah Johnson is my guy'.
thought the body language of the tory front bench was very telling. None of the usual bluster. Think they know they're in the shit.
Fines are so 2021, it's all about Ukraine now, and the fact only Johnson can oversea from a polite distance the country being battered by enemy artillery.Agreed. They know more fines are probably on the way !
I am so proud he is leading the wests response.Fines are so 2021, it's all about Ukraine now, and the fact only Johnson can oversea from a polite distance the country being battered by enemy artillery.

Although it's true they could look closer to home and take a hit on their huge profits.4 biggest energy companies come together to say that the government should be doing more to help people with their bills.

They know the right people and put on the right colour rosette for the particular area they're standing in.Watching it as well. How the hell did these people make MPs?
Perhaps the reason the same shit is still happening years later is that those that commit the infringements are never properly held to account and so it carries on happening. Seems to be increasing all the time lately and just by coincidence it's also the same time when we've been letting the fuckers get away with pretty much anything.I've recently been revisiting essays by Orwell and chomsky.....and its still the same as it ever was.
...so any of you still getting your Twitter kickers in a twist on a daily basis over petty infringements by no-mark actors in the side show that is domestic politics need to take a step back to focus....
Well it has to be.It really hasn't...wait....tell me this is a parody
It’s how you want to present the stats though PVA. I look at the cumulative of the ‘Covid years’ together with projections as countries had waves at different times and therefore recoveries will happen at different times. For example Spain was still -5.7% after 2020 and 2021 so I would expect them to grow faster this year and next compared to us (-1.9%) and France (-1%).
I take the point that Johnson should be careful with his boasts (there’s no need !) but think he was basing on actual rather than forecasts… although was maybe being a little loose with the full picture truth…standard !
I can understand lower growth if it’s due to us being consumer driven economy in a high inflation period. What doesn’t quite make sense is why inflation wouldn’t remain higher and have a greater impact here than, in say Germany*, if they truly are weening themselves off Russian oil and gas ?! As they’re a high manufacturing intensive economy, in what is a high energy cost period, I’d be surprised if they’re not hit harder than forecast but a lot depends on Russian/Ukraine I guess
Edit - just heard guy from IMF saying Germany already revised down 1.7% since Jan so maybe already taken into consideration
But Corbyn.......Starmer did a good response there.
Johnsons only retort is about Corbyn, then goes on about Ukraine.

Got a lot of time for Stewart. Would probably disagree with a lot of how he'd want to do things but you feel he's genuine and someone you could work withThe actually excellent Rory Stewart
He’s not a knee jerk populist either. So actually stands on his own principles.Got a lot of time for Stewart. Would probably disagree with a lot of how he'd want to do things but you feel he's genuine and someone you could work with
