shameI didn’t realise but apparently there’s a border change happening so Braverman is up against a fellow Tory to be selected to stand as an MP in a new seat at the next GE.

This meaning the wider boundary review not just her seat

The Home Secretary may have helped the Tories' electoral fortunes in the past month, but this week she faces a battle for her own future.www.express.co.uk
Cheers, I looked it up on the Boundary Commission, it's different from the proposals a few years back which merged a lot of constituencies to make larger ones meaning less MPsSuella Braverman's battle to save her seat in Tory Party showdown | Politics | News | Express.co.uk

Isn't just the normal BC tarting about with seat boundaries rather than the one Cameron wanted back in 2010Cheers, I looked it up on the Boundary Commission, it's different from the proposals a few years back which merged a lot of constituencies to make larger ones meaning less MPs
You and your usual lack of reality. When she joined the government they were on leading in the polls 47% to labours 31%. They’re now leading the polls on Labour by 27% to Labours 48% and have been consistently-20 points ahead of Labour for over a year. The Express don't bother with such trivial issues as facts and real life
All hell breaks loose on these forums if someone doesn’t hold a consistent opinion on Ben Sheaf ffs, I don’t hold out much hope for politicians trying to be flexible on the BBC’s flagship current affairs show
Just grim.
If only the bloke here had been a Labour MP yet left the party to join another, or a Tory seeing the writing on the wall in his constituency, he'd be welcomed straight back in to the 'broad church'
The most bizarre thing about this is that they found the tweet or someone bothered to whistle blow
He’s probably given @PVA an internship with a promise of a big shiny red rosette with his autograph on as a reward
If only the bloke here had been a Labour MP yet left the party to join another
Already happened on this thread multiple timesTory enabling writ large, yet come the GE, you'll have clowns who are OK with this calling people who didn't vote for starmer tory enablers.
No, they are 2 different thingsIf only the bloke here had been a Labour MP yet left the party to join another, or a Tory seeing the writing on the wall in his constituency, he'd be welcomed straight back in to the 'broad church'
So how come Luciana Berger is back in the fold? She ran to be a Lib Dem.No, they are 2 different things
Campaigning for a non labour candidate has always been grounds for being expelled. It is one of the conditions you sign up to when joining.
The Corbyn era party did the same to Campbell.
Did she run while still a member of the Labour Party? So how come Luciana Berger is back in the fold? She ran to be a Lib Dem.
No to be fair, just quit as a Labour MP and campaigned against them.Did she run while still a member of the Labour Party?
So the antisemetism had nothing to do with her leaving, and the apology had nothing to do with her returning? No to be fair. But then Starmer does love anyone that isn’t a socialist so it figures.
Well she did receive some absolutely horrific abuse, but then it turned out if came from some right-wing nutters and not lefties in the party so who knows? So the antisemetism had nothing to do with her leaving, and the apology had nothing to do with her returning?
She went to Change UK first so no, it was nothing to do with "anti-Semitism" and I'm surprised you've bought that nonsensical yarnSo the antisemetism had nothing to do with her leaving, and the apology had nothing to do with her returning?
And she left because she claimed the party was anti-semetic.She went to Change UK first so no, it was nothing to do with "anti-Semitism" and I'm surprised you've bought that nonsensical yarn
because you can be allowed back in and she wasn't a member when she ran as a lib dem.So how come Luciana Berger is back in the fold? She ran to be a Lib Dem.
No not rocket science to be fair… just shows that the leader will welcome anyone that isn’t a socialist.because you can be allowed back in and she wasn't a member when she ran as a lib dem.
it's really simple, you can be a former member of another party. what you can not do is campaign for another party while being a labour party member
it's not rocket science
ok mate, you got it wrong and you are throwing you toys outNo not rocket science to be fair… just shows that the leader will welcome anyone that isn’t a socialist.
In the meantime the public sector strikes for better pay and conditions, whilst Starmer is worried if he’s got enough flags on show in a press conference.
are there any stats for how many people have been kicked out of the party by year? There does seem to be a fair number of people on social media claiming they've been kicked out for liking a Green Party tweet 10 years ago and shit like that. Would be interesting to see how the numbers stack upit's what happened to campbell in 2019 as well
it's not a plot to get rid of socialists
