Well they've already issued licences for the Gaza marine while spending the last few decades fucking over the agreement the PLO had with British gas.
Not sure it is all about the amount of gas anyway, though 1T cubic isn't insignificant, admittedly its not massive

Otherwise you can believe the official narrative that America wants to get aid in to people who are being bombed by a country using weapons bought with American money but said country is blocking the aid.
I'm not clever but I think there's another, glaringly obvious solution in there if you really want to help the residents of Gaza.
Obviously the overall US stance on aid to Gaza is farcical, but suggesting it’s all just a smokescreen for energy licenses is just paint-by-numbers early 2000s Michael Moore stuff. I don’t see how it makes strategic sense to alienate so many of the US’s major energy partners over such a trivial amount of gas.

Because America and its allies using war to take control of natural resources is a really out there concept!
I can't be arsed going into it now so if you think it's bollocks fair enough, let's see what happens.

Edit - @SBT having re-read your post let me just clarify, I don't think this is the reason for the war, just part of the inevitable carve up that always happens in these situations once the dust settles.
The port being built is part of that.

Taxi for Anderson.

Sunak is a burden on the team.

These Tories will be better than the 22/23 Tories.

I think Lee Anderson thought the new statesman was a documentary and Alan B’Stard was a real MP

“I’m a working class version of that bloke Alan”

First of many, according to the Daily Hate comments.

"I just want my country back"

Honestly, the man is a fucking living breathing meme.
Allegedly 9 more are going to follow in the coming days. A major headache for Sunak if true. He’ll still have a working majority but the optics are awful for him, especially as he’ll be losing MP’s to the phoney culture war that’s been central to his tactics of trying to win back numbers in the opinion polls. If these alleged 9 go what will be interesting is wether this will force Sunak’s hand in calling an earlier election? On paper he won’t need to because as I say he will still have a working majority but the longer he holds on will enough jump ship that he has no choice but to call a GE? It would be better for him if he calls it on his terms not Reforms terms.

Could be an interesting week for politics.

Losing their craziest MPs is probably the best thing that could happen for the Tories.

Weird decision to join yet another party by 30p Lee. NHS was likely to lose his seat this year but even more so standing for them.

I guess it's time for him to make as much noise as possible and then try and milk it for money on the right wing media.

Id guess you’ll be voting for Reform Tony - it must be the only party you haven’t dabbled with yet?

Didn’t you vote for them when they were known as the Brexit Party?

Yes Tony but oddly I supported Brexit

I assume you will do so to send a warning shot against the establishment

I wonder if he got the £400K he was claiming just a few weeks ago they were offering him to defect? Although I’m sure it’s a move that surprises no one. In fact if you read the very uncomplementary things he’s been saying about them the last few weeks and you were being sceptical you could be forgiven for thinking Lee has no morals.

The first thing Reform says on their manifesto… sorry “contract” is make the most of Brexit. They’re definitely your party.

I’ve already told you who I’ll be voting for and it ain’t Reform as you well know. Why you insist on behaving like a child by pretending otherwise I don’t know. You know that you’re a man is his 60’s don’t you.

It’s clear you have issues with older people - I assume there are some dark issues possibly with your parents that need exploring through therapy?

There was a report in one of the papers late last year that he'd been offered significant £ to join Reform.
